  • Back from work and tired but got soooo much to do to keep me on track.

Hung washing on the line and another load in the washer, im determined the dryer is NOT going to be used today so im hoping for a dry evening (its blustery but thats a good thing and its warm)

Just having a coffee then im gonna crack on and start the bedrooms.

Im determined that the whole house will be done by Thursday then I will have just under 2 weeks of chilling out time whilst the kids arent here. :T

Lodger will be back tomorrow probably (shes never here at weekends) so im still pottering round an empty house, does still feel weird though, no boom boom music coming from the kids rooms :rotfl:

Hope everyones having a great weekend

Back to the day job today followed by working at the pub tonight, which is good really as resulted in a no spend day YAY!

Phoned the place where I had the interview and someone was going to phone me back........still waiting!!! Grrrrrrrrrr

Only got 2 bedrooms left to do which is great and shouldnt take me long, good job really as im only off tomorrow evening then working the rest of the week!!!

Had statement from Studio and when I paid it off 2 weeks ago I forgot to cancel the Standing Order so im now £14.25 in credit.....wonder if I can claim this back?

Apart from that things uneventful at work, just same !!!!!! different day, I need a new job as im getting bored and agitated and feel like my brain is dying and Im hating the drive more and more. Ah well will just have to keep finding and applying for jobs closer to home.

Hope everyone has had a great evening im off to bed im soooo tired

    Hi there
Well done on taking your outgoings by the scruff of the neck and controlling them. It must make a huge difference to you. Sorry to hear that the job probably isn't yours, hope you get something else soon.

I had a skim read of your 101 things in 1001 days list and I have to say I did laugh at the get divorced bit. I take it your OH no longer lives with you?

Lol I know it does sound strange but it is something that really needs doing. I left my husband with the help of womans aid and moved over 300 miles away, im scared of starting divorce proceedings because as soon as a solicitor contacts him then he will know roughly where abouts in the country me and the kids are.

I didnt get the job but im not overly worried. I will keep applying for jobs closer to home as and when they pop up, I should be thankful that im employed already but its just the 60 mile round trip every day that pees me off then another 20 mile round trip if im working in the pub.

Only working half a day today and not working the pub tonight as all these extra hours are getting to be too much for me, getting too old to be working 60+ hours a week i cant hack it lol, although it is nice to have the money but I dont think being knackered all the time is a good thing.

Anyway off to declutter a coffee then take the curry out the freezer for tomorrow nights tea, easy tea tonight egg chips n mushy peas mmmmmmm my favourite.

Hope everyones having a good day (so far)

  • Sorry not posted but ive been in a state of shock!! If it doesnt rain it pours hey!!!. Got a redundancy notice yesterday and I finish on Friday.....no payout no nothing as ive not been there long enough!! Also lodger is going at the end of the month so theres another £400 a month down.

Was in tears most of yesterday but now ive been number crunching and been on websites to check what entitlements I could get I feel much better and am now left wondering why the hell ive been slogging my guts out working all the hours god sends?

Ive still got my pub job at 19 hours a week so will be able to get tax credits, housing benefit and council tax benefit.

Heres my new SOA which I have done based on the results of entitledto.com

Please feel free to tell me where I can save money.
