To be honest that makes the deception from Mobilise even worse, they damn well know the truth about disabled parking in private car parks, but they deliberately mislead and to be frank lie to their members, really they should hold their heads in shame because they are perpetuating a scam from the PPCs to disabled people up and down the country, they are making the situation worse by their inaccurate reporting.
Shame on you Mobilise and Helen Dolphin!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

Shame on you Mobilise and Helen Dolphin!
My view exactlly, all I did was Google 'Helen Dolphin British Parking Association' to see how close the association was (I know Mrs Dolphin is on Parking Advisory Committees and was just looking for any close associations) and I just found that advice column by chance.
Mobilise KNOW FULL WELL that private parking disabled bays are 'only advisory' but still benefit from membership fees clawed back from unlawful 'penalties' issued to unsuspecting people who pay UKCPS as they don't realise they've been had.
Mobilise had the brass neck to reply to me, in depth (quoted word for word last month on this thread) insisting that these bays are not advisory. And then to publish that PPC propaganda in Disability Now that fb1969 posted about (shocking frankly, to mislead their readers when they know it's rubbish and know that Watchdog were spot on).
Not impressed, Mobilise, I would appreciate discussing it with you. :mad:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I love the way that Helen Dolphin speaks for 'most other motorists' (sic). So not only can she contradict solicitors on points of law, she also thinks she is the voice of the majority of motorists.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

Another example of Mobilise not getting their facts straight. Somehow the editor of their magazine viewed the Watchdog clip and got the wrong end of the stick, thinking it was all about blue-badge spaces. :-
"Mobilise wrote to Watchdog as we felt the programme contributed to the parking problems that Blue Badge holders face like Mr G.... our first letter was not responded to but we didn't give up and eventually received a reply saying "Watchdog made no reference during our piece to parking in disabled places or Blue Badge areas and certainly did not imply that drivers should "ignore all parking enforcement on private land". Our piece focused on drivers who had been incorrectly issued Penalty Charge Notices whilst parking in McDonald's car parks and led to an apology and review of practices in those car parks."What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Oops Mobility put their foot in it, why don't these people listen to what is being said instead of implying what has been said, Mobilise for god's sake there was nothing mentioned about disability in the piece, get your facts straight, because you come out of this looking like third rate idiots!trisontana wrote: »Our piece focused on drivers who had been incorrectly issued Penalty Charge Notices...."
Come on BBC you know they are not penalty charge notices, please don't confuse the issue here!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

The relevant section of dialogue from the Watchdog programme went thus:Anne Robinson: “With me now is Tim Carey, a solicitor specialising in traffic law. Tim, um, not many people have trackers in their cars...
Tim Carey: “No, that's right...
AR: “...so irrespective of whether the cameras are working or not, what view do you take on these penalty charges?
TC: “Well, frankly I'm surprised at the volume of these penalty charges that are being issued. People don't have to deal with them. People don't have to answer them because they're not...its not a criminal offence not to answer one of these. If you get something from the police then you have to answer it but not from a parking company.
AR: “Okay. But people are worried about being taken to court. What are their chances if they're taken to court?
TC: “Its up to the parking company to prove the driver – and they have to sue the driver, not the owner, not the registered keeper. They have to sue the driver and they have to prove that the driver was in breach of some contractual term.
AR: “Will they do that?
TC: “Well, I don't know of any cases where they've done it. I would think it would be incredibly difficult for them to mount a case before a County Court.
AR: “And the other worry when debt collectors get involved are people's credit ratings going to be marked down.
TC: “Complete nonsense. Complete nonsense. The only way you are going to have your credit rating damaged is if there is a County Court judgement against you which is registered.
AR: “So, you really. So, I mean, when people get this [holds up MET Parking parking notice to camera] it does actually look like an official penalty charge.
TC: “It looks, looks ...
AR: “The yellow and the...
TC: “It looks very impressive.
AR: “What should they do if they get one these?
TC: “If my Mum got one [lifts paper aeroplane from desk],
AR: "Yeah
TC: “I would tell my Mum to take it.
AR: “Yeah
TC: “And make one of these with it [continues to handle paper aeroplane].
AR: “Yeah
TC: “And once she's made one of these with it I would suggest that she sees how good it is by doing that with it. [throws paper aeroplane across studio floor]
AR: “Perfect.
Could this have been clearer Ms Dolphin? My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

I'm afraid Mobilise, and especially Ms Dolphin, are in the words of the Communists during the cold war "useful idiots"."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."
"I could play all day in my Green Cathedral".
"The Centuries that divide me shall be undone."
"A dream? Really, Doctor. You'll be consulting the entrails of a sheep next. "0 -
This from Pepipoo:-
I was speaking to an elderly lady of 75 today. She said she had a ticket from UKCPS, she'd put her blue badge on the dashboard but with her window left partially open the strong winds had blown it down.
I told her your advice and not to pay but she said she had done, she was frightened of the letter she got, (£100 or £60 if paid now), she also said they spoke of joining Mobilise for £44 which she did.
That says it all about this unholy alliance between Mobilise and UKCPS.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

That says it all about this unholy alliance between Mobilise and UKCPS.
So it just shows that they directly profiting from this alliance, this person may not have really afforded to pay the £44 to mobilise without the scam fee they have taken from her, its a disgrace that a charity is knowingly lying to their members about advisory parking spots in a car park, then encouraging these bunch of scammers to fleece disabled people into paying a ticket that is not enforceable, and getting them to join Mobilise by discounting their scam tickets.
Have to ask though, are Mobilise even a real charity? They don't appear to do anything for their members except misinform them, and encourage them to pay scammers in car parks, what happens if you get a ticket pay up to join Mobilise, and get caught a second time? Do you join again to get a discount?Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

To add to the mix another parking company now appears on the Mobilise website - Gemini Parking Solutions who undertake to pass on 10% of the value of any ticket issued to "unauthorised vehicles parked in disabled bays" to a charity of your choice.
GPS's website needless to say incorporates the usual collection of errors/misstatements such as:
"Fining unauthorised vehicles..."
"Any vehicle found to be misusing or unofficially taking up a disabled parking bay, will be fined and 10% of that fine will immediately go to charity."
"...an SIA registered ticket attendant manually handing out parking tickets to offending vehicles..."
" ...illegal parking"
"Drivers must be aware of the parking control penalty charges they face should they park in an unacceptable space or without a valid permit."
"We do not charge a joining fee and we can reward you financially on every fine issued."
I thought we'd got through all of this type of nonsense in websites. Clearly not.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
