  • Hi everybody and thanks for welcoming me, in answer to your question Kaz2904 at the moment I am sticking to using up all the nearly used up or opened bottles of stuff first and then I'm going to start with all the small bottles/tubes - I need to get some UU's to keep up my motivation levels. Think I will have to change from being a high buyer and low maintenance gal and become a seriously high maintenance laydee if I'm ever going to see a light (albeit a well moisturised and fragrant light) at the end of this tunnel!
I know what you mean about how surprisingly long some products last. I'm wading through a body butter which must be cursed by some evil sprite as it just refuses to let me see the bottom of the tub!!!
Can I ask what other folks do with mistake purchases or stuff they are just totally fed up with?

If the mistake purchase is a bubble bath, shower gel, or anything cleany, I use it for cleaning. Conditioner gets used for shaving and moisturisers get used liberally. If they smell reaaaaalllly bad, use them on your feet. HTH!

    Morning girlies,

    A few UU from moi...

Mitchum roll on deo WIBA yes its fresh and i like it but i'm not too fussed which deo i use, as long as it does the job :rotfl:

Alberto Balsam Mandarin conditioner WIBA yes its fairly ok, cheap as chips and smells nice...and my hair is very soft and smooth today!

Sunsilk Straight (?) and smooth (the purple tube) conditioner WIBA it's ok i can't really tell much difference between conditioners on the whole to be honest. I used the last drip and drop on my hair alongside the Alberto Balsam and its lovely and soft today so maybe thats the secret to lovely hair lol

As you can tell i was on a UU mission last night, too many opened bottles cluttering up the bathroom shelves again!

I have to confess to a few buys the other day...i took advantage of the boots 'when it's gone it's gone' range...and bought the mark hill shampoo and conditioner set for brunettes as it was half price and i really like it. i also bought some hot water bottles which i have distributed amongst my grandmother, sisters and a couple of friends (i'm in the good books at the mo :rotfl: ) but when i went to pick them up, the girls aloud festival false eyelashes were reduced to 2.50 each! i have an addiction to fake eyelashes of a night out and have been good not buying any for a while...so i bought 4 different styles!!! the lines are being written as i type....(multitasking incase you wonder! ;) )

I think we're missing a few others as well as Tara..what about LiR too is she still in the process of moving? I hope to see everyone back soon! :)

have a good day girls x

LiR did mention in one of her last posts that she would be logged off here for a couple of months, so sure all is ok there!!
  • As all you ladies have been using things up, are there any products that you would recommend to an aging 33 year old for her skin?? I used liz earle for years but it's too pricey :( I have oily skin but have noticed lately deep set lines appearing around my mouth, not good, defo need to step up a gear with skincare, so would love your thoughts!!!

Bronnie - so this is where you've been hiding!!! i miss you over on the fashion thread!!

I've been trying to declutter today, sorted out clothes and now working my way (again) through my toiletries.
I was disappointed to discover the full size S&G hand cream seems to have gone off, the smell is horrible now (I always was a fan of the smell) although it still moisturises so might relegate it to my feet if I can stand the smell!
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time

Managed to finish the Cowshed Lemongrass bath stuff, not really impressed by it given the full cost so no plans on paying full price for it.

Same goes for the lemony smelling gingerbread man soap I got from Lush, though to be fair it spent 9 months in the airing cupboard before I got round to using it (yes, I 'hid' a box of toiletries at back of cupboard!)

Looking forward to cracking open the Champneys Oriental bath foam later though.......... (boy, my Fri's could not be more exciting ;-) )
