argh managed to buy some cotton wool pads in Superdrug, what a muppet i am, they were miss priced and i should have just given them back but the queue was just so long. That's done it for my not spending anything this month. Only saving grace is that i only have a few left and they didn't crimp together properly when they were made so they keep splitting apart (if that makes sense ?)0

Morning all,
I am continuing with this challenge in August as well. So far I haven't bought anything but will have to buy cotton buds at same point this month.
I have used up Neals Yards Power berry daily moisturiser which was a magazine freebie a few months ago.WIBA? No, this one wasn't moisturising enough for me and slightly tighten my skin when I applied it. My LE moisturiser is still much better.
Enjoy your Sunday and good luck with the challenge. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j0 -
I'm trying really hard not to look but they keep emailing me about free delivery and "look at our lovely delicious body butters only £15 for 2-you know you want them-go on, buy 4 for £30-they'll last you ages-what a bargain-and you can have a free face mask" and so on!!!
I must not succumb!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh but I do want to:o
And then I saw the Carrot moisturiser and the old 80s favourite Elderflower Eye Gel........OMG, will this temptation never end???:eek:0 -
No spends so far in August. Now using Sanctuary bathsoak as all my herbal ones now gone .WIBA, no not that impressed for the price, and have two more to use up.0

Argh only just realised it's August, had wondered why no one had posted on the July thread!
Freyasmum - thanks for Elle M stuff, looking forward to getting it
No toiletries spend for me this month yet, well not for me anyway - bought a Johnsons Baby toiletries box in the Adsa baby event.
However, I still had some incoming as it was my birthday, so I now have to add to the stash:
Sanctuary Mum to Be box - full of lovely things
Mothercare belly butter and leg spray
Lush Bunty box with ballistics and bubble bars in
FCUK travel bag with shower gel, body lotion and body spray
I think that's all. Oh and I also added a Royal Jelly gift set from my present stash to my own stash, it was cheap in the Boots Xmas sale 2 years ago and I still can't think of anyone who would like it, plus the box is a bit bashed up now. Read that Royal Jelly is good for stretch marks - will give anything a go, not really showing yet so may as well use this now and save the nicer stuff for when I start to show!
Oh and I also got quite a few Palmers samples, different stretch mark creams and oils etc from the Emmas Diary vouchers so using those before bed.
Edit - and some perfume samples that arrived in a Debenhams order, and the Neals Yard moisturiser from Red magazine (because I had a half price voucher for the mag!)My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |
Total £4151.44 | £2900.30 of £7051.74 paid off since diary started October 2024.0 -
my first UU to report!
Original Source Lime Shower Gel.
WIBA? No, bought it to try and wake me up in the morning, didn't do a thing. I think I've finally realised that manufacturers 'embelish' what their products can do, its been a bit of a revelation!
:shocked:0 -
My first UU to report, Pantene Repair and Protect Shampoo. WIBA? Yes as it was a huge bottle and its lasted for ever, and does what it says on the tin!0
-
Haven't used up anything in august so far! However I have bought 3 toothpastes, some nail varnish remover pads (needed those!) a conditioner and InStyle for the lip stain.0
-
1 more UU - Boots Mediterrian orange shower gel.
WIBIA - probably no, not a big fan of orange scented items but did find it moisturising.Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0
