No Buying Toiletries in August Challenge!!!

  • Can barely believe August is nearly over!

A few more UU's over the weekend:

Clarins relaxing body balm: wiba? yes, but have another to get through first. I first started buying this a few years ago when DD was going through an insomnia phase and thought this might help, and it certainly seemed to at the time. I started using it myself and found that as well as helping me relax it is also a really good moisturiser

Garnier Fresh essentials toner (think that's the name of it!) - wiba? no, this seemed to leave my skin feeling slightly sticky,

Garnier radiant complexion facemask - wouldn't buy this again as did nothing

Tesco Vit E eye make up remover - definitely buying this again, 72p a bottle and does a brilliant job at getting all my mascara off!

    Also a few giveaways:

    Smashbox o glow blusher
    No 7 mineral powder blusher
    Cliique Dramatically different moisturising gel.

Looking forward to doing it all again in September,

    xx

It covers all toiletries and make-up etc, but you are "allowed" to make necessary, carefully considered ( :rotfl: )purchases.

I've got one last UU for the month, woohoo!

It was a giant (750ml) bottle of TIGI Dumb Blonde Shampoo. WIBA? Maybe - i've had this bottle for years, which is annoying, as it's really big! It was nice to finally use it though - it lathers well, smells nice, and does seem to keep my hair brighter than most shampoos. I'd buy it if I saw a good offer on it, but I woudn't go out my way to find it, as I'm just not madly in love with it.

    I've also got a couple of 'in's' :o

    1 x Batiste - I use this a lot!
1 x Shu Uemera Graceful Bloom palette (http://www.selfridges.com/en/Beauty/Categories/Make-up-colour/Cheeks/Blusher/Limited-Edition-Graceful-Bloom-palette_255-2001548-F2046200) - but this was a gift, so no spend, woohoo! (And it's amaaaaazing :D)

So my total spend for August was £8.34 - that's my second cheapest month since starting the challenge in January. So much for 'no spend' :rotfl:

Include it if you want my lovely. And don't if you don't want to. :D I don't because I have a chunk of rock that I use which lasts a really long time. If you get through a lot of deodorant body sprays, or have a lot in your stash then it's probably a good idea to include them.

*hangs head in shame all over again* :(:D I do "carefully consider" but "necessary" would be a bit of a stretch. :D

I know. And I actually thought I'd been so good only buying two things and restocking on essentials!:o

morning all. no UU but I do have a confession... I bought BS body butter at the weekend. It was simply too good an offer for me to pass up, 4 full sized for £25 - i.e. buy 2 get 2 free!!!

    Sorry
    New surname New start!

  • hiya girls sorry haven't been posting much, i had a few in's this month - most of them are borderline toiletries - false eyelashes, nail files, cosmetic sponges - taken full advantage of the clearance offers in Boots! But then some other essentials like make up removers (L'0real ones that were £5.69 each or 2 for £5 - go figure! They seem good so far...) and Batiste!

    So UU that I remember....
1x John Freida Volumising shampoo WIBA yes i got this on the silly c*ck up that Mr T had where it was 3 for £2 and was really surprised how full it made my hair feel when it was really lathered up! If you washed it twice with the shampoo (the bottle lasts forever i've been using it daily (sometimes twice a day and i have hair down to my bra strap!) for about 3/4months!) it really va va voomed my hair!

1x brunette Batiste WIBA girls I don't think we need to explain the necessity of such a purchase! Although I've been playing with this to create extra volume for my hair rather than using it between washes - I've been channelling Cheryl Cole if you couldn't tell :rotfl:

1x Fake Bake Beyond Bronze - Although this was my final application I haven't been wearing it lately and when I went to apply, it was like coloured water  and came out green!! so i'll have to be careful in future. I have another couple of bottles (one half used  ) so fingers crossed that these are ok.

various conditioners lying around my bathroom from my sisters, from memory 1x pantene, 1xfructis, 1xalberto balsam,

I have some incomings from the BS which arrived today but like i said earlier, my whole order cost the same as the 2 free gifts that were included to i got 2xmake up items, 1x hair brush and 4x large shampoo and conditioners for free! glitch time is great!!

But i am back on the wagon - planning to go to NY in december soooooo saving up to get my xmas shopping over there and no doubt i'll be tempted by some spends out there - it's mega save from now to then!xx
