  • Oooh 'eck - someone lovely has posted a thread about cheap Tigi haircare... I've spent a while convincing myself that it's a great deal for some massive salon sized shampoos and conditioners, after all, I've been meaning to try Tigi for a while... and I need some of you lovelies to help me resist the temptation! I really do have enough shampoo and conditioner in my bathroom to last me at least through next year if not well into 2012!!:eek:

Please help me convince myself it's really not a good buy and resist!! :D (although I think posting this has helped a little already!)

footmadgal I had the same issues with the Radox Smoothies Show Gel, it really annoyed me with the seeds, not enough of them to use as a scrub but too many just to ignore, didn't mind the smell of the one I had too much although the one my sister had was vile!

Finally fully UU the Conditioner sample I had with me, Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, I love the scent, and despite being for dry hair didn't find it was too heavy on my 'normal' hair, so yup I probably WBIA.

I am sooooooo bad:eek:went to town and was very good at not buying clothes(£5 on a pair of shorts)BUT needed to buy something after bothering to make the trip(over an hour and car plus p and r) so could not resist Clinique bonus time at JL:eek:

only spent £25 and £5 of that was a voucher, bought a lip balm (as it was about the cheapest thing) and a concealer(as I did need one)and got a goody bag with 6 items in it.....some of which will actaully be useful on holiday!)

so a spend of £25 in total in town not that bad:)

Don't do it, there are always offers on one site or another for the salon size bottles - I should know, I buy them! (and posted on that thread... :o). When your stash is gone, you will still find a great offer on TIGI somewhere.

    Afternoon Lovelies!

I'm horribly behind with my UUs this month but I'm just glad that I actually have any after finishing most of my minis last month. I haven't looked to see what I've bought but I don't think it's too bad. (I'll check in a sec.)

    But meanwhile, UUs...

UU Laura Geller Moisture Compound spf 30 15ml WIBA? Maybe, This is great light gel textured sunscreen that works under all types of make up and doesn't ever feel heavy or thick. But...I'm not in love with the ingredients list so I'm not sure.

UU Smashbox Photo Finish Primer WIBA? Maybe. I quite like it but I'm s'posed to be phasing silicones out. I'll see how much I miss it.

UU Everyday Minerals foundation Sample in Sunkissed Fair. WIBA? Yeah. I think this is my best colour in Everyday Minerals and I like the way this goes on - but I have a heck of a lot more mineral foundation to get through before I'll need to buy any!

UU Shiseido Body Creator Salt Scrub 200ml WIBA? Yep I expect so. It smells weird but it's really properly scrubby and then it sort of disolves on contact with water and becomes uber moisturising. My skin is amazing after I've used this. (Just don't make look at the ingredients list!)

UU Louise Galvin Shampoo, Conditioner, and Hair mask WIBA? Hell yeah. This brand is the one that works for me the best out of all the SLS free haircare bands so far.

UU L'Oreal double ended lip moisturiser and upper lip moisturiser WIBA? No. It works pretty well, but it's tested on animals and the ingredients list is full of things I try to avoid. I only bought it cos I was desperate for something to sort out my dry lips but the Dermatologist said I probably made it worse.

UU Ren Glycolactic mask 30ml WIBA? Yes, yes, YES! I LOVE this mask for radiance smoothing and just making my skin look and feel way better than usual. I have some more in The Stash but when I need to I'll be repurchasing

UU Revlon Vital Radiance Green Corrector WIBA? I don't think so. I have a spare in The Stash and I go back and forth with myself over whether green concealers actually help my redness or just make me look a funny colour!

UU Ren Lip Honey WIBA? Maybe. This is a perfectly fine quite thick and waxy lip balm which does the job but I'm not in love with it.

UU Gale Hayman Lip Lift WIBA? I went back to this when I was being driven to distraction with dry lips, but it contains mineral oil which I try to avoid, so probably not.

UU OPI 30ml Nail Polish remover WIBA? No. Nail polish remover is the only product I can think of where cheap and cheerful is better as far as I'm concerned. They all contain horrible chemicals so the quicker the job's dones and the bottle is closed again and tucked away the better.

UU Ren Rose Otto Body Wash 100ml WIBA? I love the smell of this and I adore than it contains no nasties. I have more in The Stash but I'll repurchase when I need to.

UU OPI Flower to Flower Mini WIBA? Even though I enjoyed wearing this this summer I probably would not repurchase this particularly Pepto Bismol with a touch of neon coral pink and I am shocked that I only got 6 or so goes out of the bottle when I'm certain Alison Young told me it would be 15! I only bought this at the end of June.

I bought the aforementioned earlier in the month Bobbi Brown Palette which I love and use often, some new heads for my TreSonic..and the Mally TSV.

I use and love the brow product that's in the Mally kit, and the Mally mascara. It also contains another version of the lip gloss formula I've almost finished (I never finish lipglosses!) and a whole bunch of other stuff. I worked out that it would cost more than the kit price to cherry pick the bits I wanted on eBay so I went for it.

    I never think I've spent very much, but I s'pose that's quite a lot isn't it? :o:p

I'm now completely out of conditioner as well so I need to buy some of that pretty soon.

I don't want anybody to think I'm not trying though. I probably restrain myself 29 days out of 31. It's those other two days when I get into trouble! :D

Another UU - Botanics Golden Glow Body Lotion. Had loads of these, but this was the last one - for such a cheap product, it works quite well, but I'm a bit bored with it now, so I won't buy it for a while :rotfl:
  • Cherry Blossom Storm TK Maxx always seem to have Tigi hair products at half price so stay strong and wait until you need to buy it, as the other folks have said - it's always on offer somewhere!

    Two UU's to report:
montjeunesse blemish mud face mask - wiba? probably
neutrogena pink grapefruit anti-blemish face wash - have another one in the stash to use( both bought on 2 for £4 offer) but I don't think I'll repurchase when it's finished. I bought this to try and clear spots around my mouth and chin but it hasn't really done much.
How is it that I managed to sail through my teenage years virtually spot free only to be knocking on the door of 40 :shhh: and am suddenly tortured with the bloomin things? Grrr!

Avalon Organic Botanicals Therapeutic Mint Thyme Revitalizing Conditioner. WIBA? No, it smells lovely and is 70% organic, but isn't heavy-duty enough for my hair. If you only need a light conditioner, it would be good.
Australian Bodycare Body Wash. WIBA? Yes, definitely. This is an excellent range with tea tree oil in, and I like to have this around for if my skin gets "problems" such as spots or rashes. I find it works very well. Smells nice too (if you like tea tree - but it's not too overpowering).
ROC Demaquillage Actif Foaming Facial Wash. WIBA? No. I got it when it was possible to use the £5 facial skincare vouchers on it, so I didn't pay much for it. It worked, but was nothing special. Didn't smell of anything, but was just a basic foaming cleanser. There are other, nicer ones out there that are probably cheaper too!
Body Shop new shampoos - the last of my numerous samples of the new, non-SLS shampoos. WIBA? Possibly. I gave my verdict on them here, and I don't think I've changed my mind yet.
Anti-cellulite firming gel. WIBA? Was for a trial, so I don't even know what brand it was. It was all right, made my thighs feel cold when applied, but didn't make a noticeable difference to my cellulite. Unfortunately, nothing I have tried ever has!

Johnson's 24h Moisture Radiance Body Lotion. To trial, so didn't cost me anything!
ROC Retin-Ox Wrinkle Correction (sample). Free sample from their website.
Boots Original Beauty Formula hand cream x2. Was reduced to £1 each, and I paid with my points. I had wanted to try this before, so was pleased to find it reduced!
Clarins Eau Dynamisante body lotion (large GWP size). From eBay. I am down to the last bit of this in my full size bottle, and really like the scent. Got it for a good price on eBay.
