Sunshineyday - me too !! Im 36, and i have FAR worse problems with my skin now - used to be all clear and proper peaches and cream - now i seem to have a real oil problem on parts of my face, i have a beard sprouting (well thats what it feels like sometiems!) and its just a nightmare....

not sure if i put that id UU my soap and glory cellulite stuff - WIBA?? no, lovely cream, smelt nice too - but i never remember to use it enough, and im not convinced that its not just the massage that does anything rather than any creams.
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup

As I had to have a clean up of my shampoo drawer due to a spillage, I've had a recount of what I've got. The following is the list I posted in May when I started the challenge and I've added in purple the current count.

    Sunsilk Deeply Brunette x 3 (x 2)
Herbal Essences x 3 (x 4 + one on the go) I haven't bought any of this since May, I must have discovered some hidden away at some point that wasn't on my radar when I did my first count!
    [STRIKE]John Frieda x 1 [/STRIKE] (used up)
    Avon x 1 (part used)
    Pantene x 1 (part used)
    Tresemme x 1 (part used)
Charles Worthington x 1 (now half empty due to spillage!:()
    Pantene Aqua Light x 1
Lee Stafford Blinding Brunette x 1
Pantene Aqua Light (mini) x 1 (Freebie, part used)
30 ml miniature from hotel (Freebie)
Various sachets and hotel miniatures (Freebies)

I knew I'd been a bit naughty recently with buying a couple of bottles when they've been on offer but this is a wakeup call that I really DO NOT need to buy any more shampoo! I'll post again when I've checked the conditioner stash.
  • Thank you to all you lovelies for helping me stay on track yesterday! I'm pleased to report I resisted and didn't buy anything in the end :T- you're right, they're always on sale somewhere and will still be there when I finally need more hair stuff.

I did make myself a little deal - I have a Redken All Soft set in my stash that is as yet unopened, and I promised myself if I resisted buying anything then I'll open it and treat myself over this weekend!

I also wandered through the shopping centre after work yesterday and came home with some freebies - so although I didn't buy anything, I think I have satisfied my need for shiney new things - I now have some lovely Lancome and Clarins samples to add to my stash! Not sure if that's a good or bad thing!

Now to have a bit of a pampering weekend and use up few things that are starting to splutter. Have a good weekend everyone!

    Cherry xx
Debt free as of 2010 :j - now to stay that way!
No buying toiletries challenge - joined Aug, have been good so far... :A
  • I've now had a recount of conditioners, showing the list from May and the updates in purple:

Herbal Essences, various types and sizes x 6 (x 5 plus one on the go)
    Simple x 2 (x 1)
Clairol Nice 'n Easy ColourSeal Gloss for Brunettes x 2 (x 2 plus one on the go)
    Elvive x 1 (x 1)
    John Frieda x 1 (x 1)
    Pantene shine treatment
Pantene Replenishing Mask (about two thirds of pot left) (ditto)
[STRIKE]HE Intensive Conditioning Balm (enough for about two applications left)[/STRIKE] (used up)
Various sachets of conditioner, hair masks, plus tubes of hair masks (ditto)
    Pantene Aqua Light
    Pantene Aqua Light (Freebie)

I've been more restrained in my conditioner acquisitions than with shampoo but it takes longer to use conditioner up for me because I usually only apply it to the ends of my hair. This is a reminder to me that my current stash will last a long time yet.
  • wow that's a lot of shampoo! I'm the reverse - I go through conditioner like there's no tomorrow, have hair that really tangles and if I don't slather on the conditioner poor brushes lose their life.
  • I was in Boots yesterday :o to use up a No 7 voucher and bought a nail polish Totally Teal for £1.75 after using voucher. I was tempted by this colour as have recently bought a top which has this colour in it (always an excuse!). I also bought a Ted Baker Oriental Bloom make up bag reduced to £1.25 :) and a No 17 Glitter Top Coat nail varnish for £2 from the clearance shelf. So £5 spent and another No 7 voucher in my purse! Naughty I know but I've been very restrained seeing as it's my birthday month.
  • Forgot to say that I've UU 2 more bath fizzers this week. No more of these left just bath bombs.
  • :bdaycake: ooh Happy Birthday Footmadgal! Anything nice planned?
  • That's kind, Sunshineyday, however, I was referring to my birthday earlier in the month - ooops! I usually use it as an excuse to treat myself the whole month long! I've used up my birthday M&S giftcard to pay towards a top and will probably spend my birthday money on autumn/winter clothes. Apart from bits and bobs, I haven't been a spendaholic this month!
  • well, belated birthday wishes then!
