  • Another quickie before bed!

2 more AFDs please Shaggy :D

Well done Jo for staying AF yesterday - that's brilliant!

I thought about having a bottle of wine after my shift tonight, but talked myself out of it.

Why on earth I would actually want to start drinking a bottle of wine at 12.30am is beyond me.........my mind plays funny tricks on me where alcohol is concerned. I still had the "have a drink" argument with myself of course, but luckily my tiredness won and so I am straight off to bed after this post and will no doubt sleep a hundred times better than if I had opened the wine!

Hugs to all and have a lovely Thursday :).

Hi peeps, just popping in after a long absence to say hello, and let you all know that the Coast to Coast cycle challenge that I was banging on about so much at the start of the year IS TOMORROW...

GP, I doubt very much you'll see this now till you get back....if at all! But just wanted to wish you every success for your trip. I looked at your blog and am envious of the scenery you get to see everyday and I also wanted to congratulate you on the fantastic amount of money you've raised for a worthy cause.

Hope you don't get a numb bum :p

    xx

    Morning All :hello:

I was out last night with a group of girlfriends and I decided to be AF (as I have loads of work to do today and also I didn't want to wreck my diet.) The bells started to ring as soon as we met. One of my "friends" was driving me nuts with her bragging/ explaining about her fantastic job and prospects. I was probably just jealous:p but all I wanted to do was rush to the bar and chuck a ton of drink down my neck...

.....Instead, I just went home early, claiming I had to be up real early. So here I am writing that I'm on 21 AFDs.

The phrase that kept going through my head last night was "If you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on getting what you've always got". Here's to the diet:)

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Thank you Shaggy, I think the combined power of everyone rooting for me helped me get there......would've died if I had to come on here and confess to drinking!

    Morning all images?q=tbn:ANd9GcREeH36x4aUyJHdhkDUXufnMduLxuX1LlaH0X21yQTF1WcrwrM&t=1&usg=__IXJ4hyWT-qN5dvuK4abzmP5ZLAA=

Utterly exhausted. Slept okay, had a couple of really vivid dreams...one was a really odd, I was leaving the house to go to the shop to buy beer, just one beer, I remember thinking that cos it was very late at night but there were 3 or 4 big diggers in the road outside my house digging up the road and everyway I went I couldn't get my car past! The diggers were dropping tarmac everywhere and damaging the cars, I reversed to get out of the way of one of the diggers that was swinging round and hit my car into another one parked up....it was like carnage :rotfl: I don't think I ever did get to the shop.

Hope everyone's okay today? I better go get lunches ready and uniforms. Just tipped half a mug of coffee all over the carpet so I'm obviously not quite with it yet :o

Right, new day and we get to do it all over again!

  • SSG You weren't being ignored yesterday, I and I'm sure the rest of the gang were thinking of you.

Trouble is, don't really know what to say except that whatever is wrong, alcohol is guaranteed to make it worse.

    We're all rooting for you.

8th AF day for me today

After major bells ringing at 11, 3, 4, 5 and 6 yesterday (:o) I managed an AF day. I had some dinner, watched a film, then had a hot shower about 8, then got into bed with chocolate, a cup of tea and a good book.

I actually had a decent night's sleep too which is weird as like Jo I usually have a terrible night being sober after drinking for a few days.

    Hope everyone is okay.:A
