I know this feeling far too well...!!!! I have no willpower and if I have wine in the house I WILL drink it... and I also have to swerve violently away from all shops during the later part of the day/early eve. An evening without a planned drink is desperately long and this week I have kept busy and the bells haven't been too noisy... I am also using GC's advice.. I will not drink today...

Don't have any super duper advice for you jo I'm afraid, but I'll send you a hug and I could post you my ironing if you like???? :D

I hear the bells about 2pm in the afternoon when I suddenly realise I've decided not to drink for the day. Its like a sort of panic that takes hold and I can almost convince myself that the world will end if I never have another drink again.

I'm very good at telling myself I deserve it too. Takes a while for the penny to drop that its not a treat to hand over a tenner from my hard earned dosh, to rich Mr T's. To remember that I cannot stand hangovers and that I look like a right old hag after a night drinking (and my breath probably stinks when I go to work in the morning).

Then when I calm back down again, I feel a bit of a mug. I like my eyes looking bright blue instead of bloodshot, I like to be able to do my jeans up without lying on the bed, I like to know that I'm not over the limit when I drive to work in the morning. Even remembering TV was carp last night is good. Most of all I like that for just that day I was in charge of my mind and body :)
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
