Not doing aswell as hoped, hospital car park fees... say no more  MIL is still in isolation with MRSA and today we were told she has to spend at least another 5 weeks in isolation. No clothes only a hospital gown, no mags or newspapers, sweet, biscuits or chocs, no flowers and no grandchildren. I think I would end up in the looney bin if I had to spend so much time alone with nothing to do but look out of a window.

Well i've just lost 3 hours of my life fiddling with a useless online kitchen planner that went ridiculously slowly & then lost my plan just as i finished it :mad:
So i'm still no closer to having even a vague idea what i'm going to do with my now very empty room.

On the bright side i was so filthy after pulling up the last of the floor tiles that i had a shower & put my PJ's on about 3pm  & it's kept me out of the shops, so number 4 for me please Spoon :j :j

Right a glass of wine & a paper & pencil for the kitchen plan i think.....
Jo, i'm naming today Sipping Sunday :rotfl:

Joining late this month - been camping (and spending sorry) but back on the wagon so to speak - have got lots of days out and a trip to meet my new baby niece in London so am only setting a measly 8 as this months target.

Have been very good since we got back yesterday, emptying car, cleaning, washing all clothes, meal planning for the week and shop to match. Today has been another day of house cleaning and 'bottoming' the foodstuffs in the kitchen - why have we got 6 plastic lessons full of lemon juice?

So 1 NSD so far this month!
    Mortgage £128,626 going down slowly
  • Day 2 for me and now I will shut the computer down so I cannot look around the shops...I live in an area with no shops but thanks to tinterweb I seem to spend alot...hmmm willpower will be mine

FINALLY - declaring NSD #3 for August :T

Kept myself busy today, and the one time I went near shops I left my purse (which means all cash and cards) at home :D

Started off the day by going out for a run at 8:45 am (having been up since 7am). Managed 2.06 miles in 22mins 43s and burned off 205 cals (I have a new heart rate monitor which gives me lots of [strike]useless[/strike] useful information ;))

Then, with my purse safely left behind, I went to the gym for a 10:30am 'Start to Step' class (burned off 325 calories) which I really enjoyed, and only had a couple of 'hiccups' with the movements despite it being 15 years since I last did a Step class :) Shame they only do it on a Sunday morning, as I'm normally at OHs so can't make it :(
Followed that up with my gym circuit - 5 mins on the bike (piddly 33 cals - need to increase the intensity on this me thinks), 8 mins on the rower (a marginally better 64 cals, but would struggle at the moment if I increased the resistance - still, it's supposed to help with toning my arms/shoulders so still worth doing), and 10 mins on the cross-trainer (89 cals).
Finished up with 10 lengths of the swimming pool (in 12 mins - no other info as I'm not 'testing' my HRM in water even if it is supposed to be water resistant to 50 metres :o)

This afternoon I've baked choc-chip Twinks (don't like them as much as other flavours I've done, so don't see me doing them again after DS moves out)

And then I mowed the lawns - that took 2.5hrs () and I only managed to get the lot done as a neighbour had a two-thirds empty green bin I was able to utilise (they get collected tomorrow, and her 'chap what does' comes towards the end of collection week - hence her last lot of cuttings had compacted down in the last 10 days). This burned off a rather impressive 472 calories :D

So I've redeemed 1188 calories today (plus whatever I earned through swimming) towards all the Twinks I've been munching on this week - plus a couple of cream cakes yesterday, and a piece of birthday cake (also yesterday) and a couple of scoops of luxury ice-cream (another from yesterday!). Will be interesting to see what the bathroom scales have to say about this weeks diet when I get on them tomorrow morning blush.gif

hospital car park fees are a slap in the face when you are really worried about a loved one. Hope MIL gets better sooner than 5 weeks and stays sane.
