    To each their own...;)
My mum used to clean for a lady a few mornings a week - she had one of those duvet covers with the kind of 'frilly' bits at the edge and she wanted them ironed...every crease...
  • It's probably spending time doing stuff like ironing frilly bits that leaves people so short of minutes that they're forced to buy frozen gravy :)
Eek! Someone's stolen my signature!

In my opinion, life's too short for...

...spending hours on end cooking something for myself alone that will be wolfed down in seconds
...ironing bedding or most things in fact
...shopping in shops that are in opposite directions to save 2p (but spending £2 on the petrol!)
    ...major regrets

I'm sure there is loads more that I have forgotten. Great thread btw.:T

    1) Do ironing piles, I just iron daily or night before.
    2) Make pastry - apparently I don't have "pastry hands" (need to be cool).

    ditto :)

my mum and many others think im mad

  • I don't do ironing, in fact the last thing I ironed was my husbands shirt before our wedding (in may). I also buy gravy granules and jar curry sauces :o
My best friend bought FROZEN gravy in Morrison's a few weeks back. I noticed when we were at the checkout, and was almost tempted to pretend I wasn't with her :)

I once found a tray of M&S frozen PORRIDGE in my mother in laws freezer!! :rotfl:

    LIfe's too short to:

    - hold on to a job you hate (just resigned from a really crappy one!)

    - wax/shave/chemically remove/nuke my hairy legs & armpits (the fur keeps me warm in winter and DH wouldn't notice even if I dyed my body hair green anyway, typical bloke hehehe)

    - wash floors every week (I ony do it when they get quite dirty, but I sweep or hoover frequently in communal areas)

    - cook elaborate 3-course meals, except in special occasions (normally we have all-in-one soups or stews with a salad and that's it)

    - weed the garden too frequently (the weeds grow faster than I can pick them!)

    - iron bedsheets, underwear and socks (I do DH's shirts because he needs to look 'presentable' for work, but nothing else)

I am sure I can think of a lot more than this list, lazy mare that I am, but can't be bothered to think too hard now!

Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
