peel carrots/turnips beetroot etc. hell, I even eat Kiwi fruit with the skin on!lol

A friend who's visited New Zealand said he was sitting with some natives as he peeled a kiwi fruit, they all started laughing at him and said they never peeled them. They just rub them on their jumper/shirt/whatever to remove the hairs on the skin!

Definitely ironing for me! Ok I sometimes HAVE to do it, but not if I can at all help it.

Ah, I hardly plan my meals... I know this is a big OS mainstay, but living alone as I do I seldom do elaborate cooking, unless I entertain guests. A salad or pasta will do, and since I buy only organic, that's hardly moneysaving...

Hand wash clothes. There's a perfectly good hand wash/delicates program on my Zanussi. Okay it takes six times as long and uses gallons more water, but it's worth it. ;)

Also I tend to use the tumble dryer when it seems like too much bother to pull out the retracting washing line, secure it, peg everything out, unlock the shed to get the clothes prop... Besides which our garden is on such a slope that it's hard work clambering up and down it.:p
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

I handwash bras, beacause, except when breastfeeding a bra doesn't actually get that dirty!?

Plus it's worth the few minutes of my time if it saves ruining them or getting underwire stuck in the machine.

Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

  • Life's far too short to bother cooking from scratch, recycling, housework, eating, showering etc. There again I'm now bored so do what I can. j/k of course.

Anyone want to help me make a cruck cottage gingerbread house (1/6th size) out of oak? Now THERE'S something worth doing! :D
