Life's too short to make 'to-do' lists. Such organization may well save time and money, but I think I always knew before even starting mine that I was embarking on another work of fiction. 'Done' lists are a lot more satisfying and, in my case at any rate, a heck of a lot shorterEek! Someone's stolen my signature! :eek:0

...Hang out the washing. I am a tumbledryer tart. With the exception of sheets, towels and jeans. (Quote from Gingin- sorry cant do quotes properly!)
... Sheets towels and jeans tumbledry beautifully- why not?0 -
I only iron school uniforms, DH does his own shirts usually unless I am feeling exceptionally kind.
I don't make puff pastry, I buy frozen. I tried making it once and it was a disaster.
I keep the odd jar of cook in sauce in stock for days when I know I'm not going to have enough time to cook from scratch.
I buy Tesco Value chips as any that I try to make come out soggy and horrid and why not when they are only £1 for nearly 8lb of chips.
Today I bought myself a spicy chicken pasty from the Co-op as it was the only thing that called "eat me".Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Lol I once went through a phase of making to do lists, and making them look good and pretty and no doubt spent more time on the lists than I did doing the 'to do's'Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
Oh and yes, puff pastry is the best, it's sooo much easier, and always nicer than homemade attempts.
But Frozen chips I don't do, It's so much nicer to peel and fry them yourself (and we don't have a deep fat frier, we just use our pasta pan)
Or if we can't be bothered our local chippy uses only king edwards and we pay £1.20 for a bag that three of us can't finish of the most delicious chips.Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
Lifes too short to........ iron (yeah, me too!!)
I don't even iron oh's work shirts, just wash, tumble dry and hang while they're still warm! There you go,that's another thing, the tumble drier! I always tumble my towels as they fluff up better. Perhaps I shouldn't be admitting to this as oh may read it later:rolleyes:"all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0 -
Life's too short to:
1.Iron anything!
2.Get anything dry cleaned!
3.Worry about what you look like to the outside world
4.Have false nails-they'll fall off, never look as nice on you as they do other people and ruin your own nails to high heavens
5.Pay someone else to colour your hair, DIY, cheaper and quicker!
6.keep up with the jonesesWealth is not measured by currency0 -

THANK GOD!! I thought I was the only one who ate them with skins on! Must be a Kiwi thing then.
In terms of the other stuff;
*I do buy a jar of Pataks Curry paste for my chickpea curries, only need 1/4 jar per curry so it lasts ages.
*DH does ALL the ironing on a saturday night whilst watching Match of the Day
*I still buy that salty s***e (bisto) that masquerades as gravy (well TBH its tesco own brand) as I dont know how to make gravy and the kids will eat more veg/meat when it has gravy on
Think thats about it, for some reason I've never had trouble making pastry, though I've never tried puff pastry. Do LOVE making choux pastry though for choc eclairs YUM!!WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0 -

My life is too short to
Iron
Dust more than annually (well, I have a hoover, so ...)
Hoover under the sofa
Put things in jars and label them (most stuff comes in packets anyway ..)
Wash my windows nearly as often as I ought.
And all sorts of other things. The worst of it is though, I would LOVE to have the time to do all these things, and if I had every day at my disposal I would happily iron everything down to my smalls, and would probably not only label my jars but would alphabetise my cupboards ...0 -

i'm not as O/S as many so i prob have alot of things to fess up to. i do buy oven chips but i am only buying 1 bag a month and i do try to make my own.
I buy puff pastry too even if it does have the dreaded hydrogenated vegetable oil in it! too much effort to make it!
I dont mind ironing though! I find a pile of freshly ironed clothes very satisfying!(sad eh!:o )
I also use oven chips occasionally!Do what you love :happyhear0
