OK gang- what is your life too short to do?
Ive noticed a few whispers around here this week, of "i just buy XYZ" when theres is an OS alternative, so i thought id bring the shame out of the shadows
Ive got a few this week
1. wash painbrushes after glossing, ive just binned them
2. ironing, never have done it
3. make crumble toppping at home, i just buy a packet
Come on old stylers, fess up!

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I am a newbie to this OS thing so I probably have loads
But my most memorable for me now, and the one I can't believe I did, was to pay to have my ironing done! My Nanna would have spun in her grave!Comps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
SEALED POT CHALLENGE MEMBER No. 428 2015 - £210.930 -
Ok confession time-
I would rather buy oven chips than peel them. There its out I've said it. Saying that we only have them about once a month0 -
I do similar but wrap the brushes in cling film for a while - kid myself on and then ditch them months later when all dried up!! Water soluble paint ones - I wash them in washing machine
Toad in the hole - I buy a packet mix - Ok its only flour and dry milk etc but I cannot make it for love or money!
I'm sure there are more too...............
p.s. edited to say I dont peel oven chips - just buy white potatoes and leave the skins on - lovelySaving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0 -
peel carrots/turnips beetroot etc. hell, I even eat Kiwi fruit with the skin on!lol
definitly agree with ironing! I iron OH's shirt for work for him every morning, thats all we bother with. My Grandmother would be disgusted, she even irons teatowels, undies and socks!?

...Bother about cooking when you are not feeling well. There is an M+S at Cambridge Station and as we are all feeling under the weather today, OH is picking up a ready meal and a bottle of red wine for dinner.
...Hang out the washing. I am a tumbledryer tart. With the exception of sheets, towels and jeans.
...Paint brushes ditto, although Oh is a bit more disciplined. I picked up a pack of 4 paintbrushes for a £1 at Mr T's the other day.0 -
Iron underwear IMO. I can never get the creases in my socks to match!! Only kidding!!

erm.... I wrap them in a placky bag and put them in the freezer:D
I do fess to buying a jar of mint sauce the other week when there is oodles of it in the garden.
doddsyWe must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

Ironing... I just can't see the point, the creases drop out after you have worn the clothes for a while.....
Being obsessed with being super tidy. It's not in my nature and I like living in a bit of a muddle. I'm not dirty, just not tidy.....0
