It's actually freezing today Missy. My feet are ice cold, I can't believe it, as much as I love cold weather I hate that it came so early. It's rubbish that you can't overpay your loan, I wouldn't be disciplined to save the money up on a saving account, so glad that I can overpay whenever I want to (and have money for that;) ).

And don't be ashamed of the clothes, I have appr. 15 items with tags which should go on ebay but just don't have the motivation...One day, one day:).

And you know that changing your job was the right decision, less money but at least you get to spend time with your darling husband!

So my challenge is to start with for 1 month, is my store cupboard challenge, so I going to try not to buy any food at all until 17th October. OH is away this whole time so it shouldn't be too difficult. I have just searched through the cupboards and fridge and I have tons of pasta, tuna, eggs (obviously :D) some potatoes, other veg in the bottom of the fridge to make soup.... rice... spices. I have 8 jars of jam:eek: so that and lentil pate (if I can figure out how to make it) will be in my sandwiches, will have to be home made bread. Will have to make a cake or biscuits etc to keep my going. Porridge or toast will be for breakfast. It really doesn't look too bad.:T

    I can do this!!

How about milk? Yoghurt? Butter? Fresh fruit? Are these in your challenge as well?

Got tons of milk and butter in the freezer, I wont have too much fruit, but will make up for it with veggies from the garden and freezer. to be honest I will probably eat better than i do now, as I usually just eat junk when OH is away!!!! but If I feel like I am missing out on essential vitamins, or feel that it isn't benificial to my health I will see if i can trade some eggs for fruit etc, some of the houses up the road have apples/plums for sale outside their houses, and I'm sure they would be happy for an exchange.

I have been reading weezls 50p a day diary and she managed to fit in all her vitamins and 5 a day etc, so I will be trying my best.

So that's sorted than:). Well done! Oh, I wish I could manage to survive on 50p but I guess you do need to have the time to cook and bake everything (which I don't have) and the energy (nope, don't have that one either). I worked over 58 hours this week, work is mad, I'm dead tired...

hmmm heres a thought, I have just noticed I am out of onions, which to me is a huuuuge problem as they form the basis of sooo many meals.... but I do have a great big jar of the big pickled onions, now if I soak them in water, do you think I could use them in my cooking as a normal onion substitute??
