  • I know kavics crazy isn't it.

Although, was giving her lots of money saving tips which I think she appreciated, although I think she thought I was a little bit sad knowing all this stuff. She went through the ebay clothes though, and took 4 of the best things!!! oh well nevermind.... its nice that I could help her out.

Not sure what to do with myself now, have the rest of the day to myself......
  • Am sitting down to tea and toast. Just had a look on ebay at stuff, and I have a couple of superdry bits to sell, and they are going for loads!! Really need to get my bum in gear and get them on there!

Have done a couple of jobs this morning, done two loads of washing and hung it up and cooked breakfast for my sister and nephew before they went home, have half cleaned the cooker, swept the floor, washed up and put on the dishwasher.

Am going to have to meal plan so that my veggies that I have got in the fridge don't get wasted. Will be back soon with a plan.

Right have gone through the freezer and my evening meals will consist of:

chunky vegetable soup with home made bread
egg fried pea and mushroom rice with soy sauce
    Tomato, mushroom and bacon omlette
    Lentil dhal and flatbreads
    Tuna and sweetcorn pasta bake
    Egg chips and veggies
    Tomato and mushroom pasta

There are seven meals so will just repeat them each week, these are meals made up of things I don't have to go shopping for, and are using up the things we have loads of.

I couldn't believe that when I opened the kitchen cupboard I had 19 tins of tuna!!!3 huge packets of rice and 3 huge packets of pasta!! when were we ever going to need that much???:o

hmmm having been looking at next months wages and my workings out haven't been quite right due to the fact I will be on emergency tax and I will atleast need a tiny bit of spending money for November when OH is back (can get away with not having much in October but November too might be difficult:eek:), so I wont have quite enough to pay off the £1950 from Octobers wages like I was hoping to pay it all off. I have been over and over it but there really isn't enough money though, it appears I am £100 short:eek: Bit of a shock really, £100 is a lot to find.

But this is not going to phase me, I am adament.

So I WILL be selling on ebay and I WILL be selling on Amazon, everything that is not nailed down.:rotfl:OH better watch out.

    So I have 6 weeks to make/find £100, crikey i don't do things easily do I:o

oh dear  I have been thinking and have thought about my plan for the next couple of years, and looking at the bigger picture..... I have 2 more years left of my OU degree to do, then a years PGCE..... This year is costing me £1300, next year will be the same, So £2600 Which I knew about which is fine as I am working full time.

But when I get to do my PGCE 2012 (thinking ahead here) I can't work as it's a full time course, and it is going to cost me £3500 just for tuition:eek:, not including books, travel etc..... I really really need to start saving now, Otherwise I am just never going to afford it  I can't believe I didn't realise how much it was going to be before.

You know when sometimes you just wish you hadn't looked and could just bury your head in the sand:o....... you could say I have just had my second LBM!!!! Drastic action needs to take place...... so I will be coming up with a plan and posting later...... think I need a cup of tea!!!:o

missy, is it worth listing the books on greenmetropolis as well as amazon?

Same idea but its only books, free to list, but a set price which includes postage so unlike amazon you know exactly what you'll get for each one before you start listing. I have all my books listed on both, I just have to remember to cancel the second listing if I sell one.

It works for me I've only forgotten to cancel listings once and sold a second copy which I didn't have, lol.

Am snuggled up on my sofa at the moment thinking about sorting some of the little bits and bobs I have and brought with me when I moved intending to try and ebay but cba, I need to go north in the car to pick up my boxes of books which are currently on suspended lisitings on amazon and greenmet but can't afford the fuel to do it (its a 600 mile round trip) maybe on my weekend off in 6 weeks time since thats the next time I don't have anything planned. Should also be job hunting but it's such a drag.

Hi love, your plans are all great so far!

Re your sister and different life stages: I am a total Jekyll and Hyde, on the one hand I have a great social life with different men on the go and love a night out wih the girls/boys but on the other hand I love MSE and pottering around cooking, cleaning etc. We all do different things at dofferent times and sometimes people do it in reverse ie i know you want kids but imagine them at uni and you and OH maybe then going off and having adventures. A retail director was once talking to me about this and said it used to be easy to design for different ages of women cos you were born, married, kids, died whereas now it's born, do whatever you like, die and we all do it how we choose. I know nothing about your sis but maybe she's relishing a bit of freedom and getting her identity back after years in a different role IYSWIM?

Re the £100 lovely ebay, ebay, ebay. I did it again recently and made £50 in a few days for about 15 minutes work. Do you do surveys, free scratchies, daily clicks etc? If not START! and read the Make £10 a day thread for inspiration. XXX
