Hi Pole,
I have flu and have sat today and read your whole diary. You really are amazing to keep going especially with the CSA stuff and WLM troubles.
Its been fun trying to work out which bit of my town you are in as so many landmarks mentioned have made me smile :j
I have subscribed as I really want to folllow your journey to debt free ness.
Well done so far :T
Hi Mint1955 and welcome . Hope my diary didn't send you off to sleep too many times;) Whereabouts are you? We are in the posh end....:rotfl:
Hope you start to feel better soonIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Hiya hon,
so sorry to hear about lovely people having horrid disease, someone I know has just had to have a mastectomy, aged 33. OMG that's just awful.
Life can seem hard work, bleak & depressing at times, but we just have to keep going day by day & try to appreciate all the good times we have with people. Easier said than done I know, but it was my losing my own mum that got me motivated to clear my debts, you just never know what's going to happen. I agree - we must try not to worry about what 'might' happen and live life well.
Do you have one of those carbon monoxide detectors ? I'm very concerned about your dodgy boiler
xx
Booking a plumber right now....It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Quiet day at work (yes another one) so I've been looking over the finances. Checked my barclaycard statement and realised if I PADded another £1.31 (on top of the £1 PADded this morning) then the balance would be brought down to £1400 :j I calculate I'll pay at least another £17 worth of PADs PLUS my £100 DD so I'll be on £12** by next payday
Also realised that I hadn't transferred £18.67 over from the food account for the bits I bought for xmas so shifted that over too. Current account now looks a wee bit healthier. There is plenty there for our NYE takeaway and enough left in the food account for the next four weeks (jeeez is it that long?) till payday.
Child benefit goes in on Tuesday (hopefully, could be Wednesday I guess allowing for bank holidays) so things will look even better although I am mentally earmarking some if not all of that for the plumberIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Oh that's not good. I hope she gets better soon. It's awful when the children are ill - you just want to take the pain for them.
I think I can guess where you are (not quite so local to me as I had thought) but I can't get where you think I am???!! Will have a think :think:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Ha! I got this just as I was driving homeNo, I am further west (towards Bluewater
)
Got stacks of ironing to do.
Off tomorrow and the plan is to get up as if I was going to work so i don't waste any precious minutes:rotfl:. Just hate slobbing around in bed till 9 then it takes me ages to get my backside in gear and shower, wash hair etc. That is the plan anyway _pale_
Right, the ironing won't do itself....It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Until 9...? That early?!:rotfl: I'm being a right lazy moo this week - my body clock has decided that sleeping at 1am and rising at 10am is the way to go;) I must get up earlier tomorrow. I'm going to struggle next Wednesday going back to work and getting up at 6.30 if I don't sort it out:o
I have all the school clothes for the 3 of us to iron too - right now it's all hiding in the cupboard under the stairs...out of sight, out of mind eh?! The decorations are coming down tomorrow so it'll be good to come home on Sunday to a clear, tidy house.
I need to get thinking about my new organisation plans - do i keep one book with all lists/plans etc in, or go for a page a day diary and track spends etc...ho hum, decisions:pI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

It's onlt the getting out of bed bit that's bad - once I'm up I'm fine. 6.30am it is then.

I have got 3 separate books -address book and diary (nice matching set with pen from card factory - £1 bargain!) and a cash book which is my bible. I splashed out on a hardbacked one. It was 3 times the price of a soft one but shouldn't get so tatty.

Ironing done
Inspired by Lula-Hula here is a list of things I must do tomorrow:-- Clear breakfast bar of [STRIKE]tat[/STRIKE] paperwork and file away.
- Clear DD's toybox and fill rubbish bags
- Taking advantage of the extra time I have and make trips to lidl, aldi and one of the big 4 for best bargains
- Trip to town
- Clear DD's wardrobe of [STRIKE]summer clothes[/STRIKE] potential ebay sales
- Clear space in my wardrobe to store rapidly growing present stash
- Trip to tip with (hopefully) loads of rubbish sacks.

Just weighed myself and I am bang on 9 stone. Considering I am usually 8.5 stone this is not good. I'm only 5'2" so 8.5 is not underweight. I have joined Benbenandme's January challenge.
I'm still not starting the diet till 2 Jan though - it's pointless - I'm doing a 4 bird roast for all the family on NYDIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
