Lots of updates from you today chick:DI got a text at 8am from WLM ????
Saying sorry he hasn't been in touch but he hasn't really known what to say (if there is anything to say anyway) and that he hopes we're well and he thinks about us often and wishing us a lovely xmas.
The cynic in me thinks that he has just said all those things to make himself feel better (like all the nice things he said when he picked up his stuff). Does he think I am crying into my pillow every night? I waited a while to reply (I think it's impolite not to) said thank you we are fine and I am very OK so he doesn't have to worry about that any more and wished him a lovely xmas too.
It was nice to get the text though. My matalan order has just arrived. I only ordered on Tuesday afternoon and it was free delivery too. They emailed yesterday and sent a text this morning to say it was on its way. What fantastic service. I've never ordered from them before but definitely will again.
The gift bags are really good quality. I wish I'd ordered more now.My final present has been delivered so I will wrap that up tonight then I'm done.
Spends today was just £38.99 on petrol so will shift some money over from the petrol account to cover it.
Just had a lovely ginger bubble bath and scrubbed with HM sugar scrub and did the OCM on my face. Feel all lovely and smooth now
Final episode of Without You just about to start.....
Oooh very organised - all pressies done. Just a few more for me which I'll do on Sat when girls go out with their dad. I'm thinking I'd like a petrol account...at the moment it comes out of my weekly spending account which I have £100 a week for dd's dinner money, petrol and anything else we need, not food or bills. Hmm...another account may be opened tomorrow:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Yes, nice to have a civil/friendly exchange of texts. Always best for things to be left friendly I think. It's actually turned my head all upside down againI just re-read it and I came over all teary. I'm glad it's been left nicely though.

Ah see I don't have a weekly spends account. Most of the money I spend would be on food or petrol. I always pay DD's dinner money for the month so that is already taken into account so any money I spend during the week is minimal really. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I queried with Quidco yesterday where my £50 cash back was from my Post Office CC. They have come back this morning and said that the PO have approved it and they are just waiting for them to send the cash :T. I was sure this one was going to be declined so I'm pleased with that. Could still be ages till the cash arrives though.
£1 PAD to Barclaycard
£5.80 on OnePoll
Just working till 1pm today. We have loads of buffet food in the office too
Going to pop into town after work and chance my luck and see if I can pick up one of those S & G sets from Boots. I don't hold out much hope but if they've got any I will put the bits in my present stash (and maybe keep a few bits for myself). Want to pop to primark for some PJs and get DD another fleecy sleepsuit.
The it will be off to Aldi for a few bits for next week and some buffet food for at mum and dads.
Off to my friends thsi evening for drinks and nibbles. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Thanks for this. I had a quick look and there were some fantastic bargains but I had my sensible hat on and didn't order anything. Of course that hat is liable to fall off so who knows what will happen
Woke up yesterday morning to no hot water  Not what I needed. Looked at the boiler troubleshooting manual and all signs pointed to calling out an engineer. Typical, on Xmas eveI fiddled with a few knobs - quiet at the back - ran from the bathroom downstairs to the boiler upstairs and after about half an hour of really Blue air it suddenly woofed into life
phew.
Who needs a man around the house?

Quick update from phone so prob loads of spelling mistakes. Have had a lovely day, lots of nice pressies - my desigual coat, some leather gloves, suede handbag, money box from DD for my laptop savings, smellies, candle holder, mp3 trip thing for the car to replace the one I have worn out - in fact loads of lovely stuff and not a baking sheet in sight
Have eaten far too much today but it was gorgeous, just can't stop grazing on the chocolates
Just watched Downton Abbey and really enjoyed it - Maggie Smith gets the best lines..It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
We are back home now. Had a lovely xmas but there's nothing like your own bed
Popped to town to take back some PJ bottoms I bought for myself on Xmas eve. Ended up exchanging them for a fleecy set and a top for dd. Only cost £7 and the fleecy PJs are lovely. Perfect for slobbing round the house and so cosy.
Had a quick McD's for lunch then bought a stamp pad and batteries(for dd) and a new cash book (for me) in Rymans - £10.57.
Bought some cakes in M&S - butterfly cakes with delicious butter icing. After the amount I've eaten the last couple of days this won't make any difference - at least that is what I'm telling myself
Then popped to card factory to stock up on birthday cards and also bought thank you cards and a diary and address book for me - £5.61.
I've done 3 loads of washing since we've been back and also made some soup (spicy butternut squash) and baked a loaf of bread. At least I'll have something to take to work tomorrow
Got some ironing to do then the sofa is all mine and I'll probably finish off the cakes that we bought earlier.
My diet starts in the new year........:rotfl:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Hiya poles,

With you on the diet, starting 3rd Jan when back to work & school ...

So glad you and DD are having a lovely Christmas. Loads of fabulous presents too
It was a bit strange WLM sending that text. Christmas seems to make everyone a bit emotional.
