Ya it's free, search the app store. It has 3 sections-news, celebrity and femail. It's updated constantly. I have loads of news apps but I like the mail one for all the celebrity and girly/relationship articles :o

Thanks I'll get that tonight. I tend to avoid the news (too depressing) but I do like the femail articles.

I threw some bread out for the birds yesterday morning (after reading that they need our help to supplement their diet) and they haven't touched it! It was my HM bread too. I feel quite offended.

Apparently it was really windy here last night. I could hear the rain on the front door and from looking on fb I gathered it should have got really windy around 2am but I must have slept through it :p. Seems to be getting a bit noisy outside now so I imagine more is expected tonight.

Bought DD's teacher and TAs presents this evening. I played the single parent card and was really tight and just spent £5 in total - £3 toblerone for her teacher and 2 boxes of mint matchmaker type things for £1 each for the TAs. They must get loads of chocolates anyway.

    Other news

    £1.13 PAD to barclaycard :)

    £3.50 on OnePoll :)

Dress sold on eBay for £10, buyer not paid yet though. She'll have to hurry up if she wants it in time for xmas :D

    £2 PAD to Barclaycard

    £3.50 (still) on OnePoll

    Cleaned bathroom :T

    Wrapped some presents up :T:T

It's our work xmas party on Friday so I have epilated my legs and slathered moisturiser over them. Took old polish off toenails and reapplied new. Did my bikini line too while I was at it so feeling all feminine again :D

I dyed my hair on Monday. I used one of the foam ones. I think that's the way to go now. Much less faff, hardly any drips and they rinse out in no time. My hair is now very dark brown all over. Where I'd used so many red dyes my hair had started to go very ginger in places. I now look slightly goth but I do really like it. I might even re-do it every 3 weeks or so just to keep the colour up, because they wash out so quickly.

I am coughing like a retired coal miner although I don't actually feel ill. Maybe I'll just end up with a lovely sexy voice????

Works Xmas do last night and despite quite a lot of drinks including a couple of shots I am feeling remarkably hangover free :D. I had a really good time though.

Yesterday's PAD was £100 to Barclaycard (monthly DD) so that takes my balance down to nearly £1400. I'm getting there....

    £3.85 on OnePoll.

    Plans for today...

    Bath
Get a couiple of wash loads done
    Pick DD up
    Food shopping
Bit of a rest I think

Babysitting my nephew tonight, so DD and I will have a bung in the oven curry and watch the SCD final :)

  • You have the same plans for tonight as me - curry and Strictly:D Just one dd here later - other off to a bday sleepover.

I'm impressed with how early you were up and posting....and hangover free after shots?! I'd still be in bed;) I was too lazy/tired/stingy to go on our works do - it was on Thurs, a school night, so really couldn't be bothered.

Crikey I was up early! I didn't realise. I slept quite badly actually, I think it was all the coke in my JD ;) Really feeling tired now though. DD and I are round my sisters place looking after my nephew. I am using her iPad on here :D

Did the food shop and spent far too much. Have been sat here working out my money for the coming month. I don't get paid until Wednesday but wanted to be prepared. I've shifted money to my grocery and petrol accounts and even after I've paid next term's after school club fees there is still money over and that is before tax credits, child benefit and maintenance go in :T

Just wondering now if I can keep awake for the Strictly final results :undecided

Slept really badly again last night. Went to bed with a headache and still had it when my nephew woke me up at 6.30 this morning. DD and I have had a fairly relaxing day. We watched some of Willy Wonka - well she watched and i nodded off....

We went round my friend's this evening to give out presents and had pizza.

Been looking over my finances again this evening. I reckon I have got some leeway for saving for a holiday this year (seeing as we're unlikely to get a freebie like last year). I've provisionally pencilled in £50 to start with. Might add a little more in over the next couple of months when there's the 2 month council tax break.

Think that's it. Feeling very tired now. I'm working all this week but I don't really mind because it's Xmas week :-) besides I want to get all the post-Xmas-party gossip tomorrow...;-)

Been for a run today and it was f-f-f-f-freezing. I'd like to get at least one more in before xmas. I can eat what I like then :D

    £4.70 on OnePoll :)

    £1.91 PAD to Barclaycard :)

I have shifted my money around into different accounts (post dated till payday of course - groceries, petrol, holiday and emergency). I've also paid DD's After School Club fees. Fortunately this first term is a short one.

Still waiting for maintenance. Hope it goes in soon - I want to get to the sales :D

Got home and cooked dinner - we had a lovely steak and mushroom pie (with chips :D), broccoli and graaaaavy. Very nice on such a cold night.

I have hoovered all donwstairs and 2nd wash load is on. I will mop floors before I go to bed.

I want to start wrapping DD's presents up but they're all hidden in various places in my bedroom and if I go up there and start crashing about she's going to wonder what I'm up to. I'll have to wait till she falls asleep. At the moment I can still hear her singing

Lots of good stuff on TV this week. I love the week before Xmas :xmassmile

Oooh I remember trying to get girls stuff wrapped while they didn't know what was going on - and the palaver of bringing it all downstairs on Xmas Eve to leave out for them...stressful! They were never early sleepers, especially eldest...I used to be exhausted, wanting to go to bed but she was still awake so I couldn't bring it down!! At least now they know it's me so I just say stay upstairs, pressies are out;);) But I do miss the magic of Santa coming, leaving the reindeer drink and carrot etc...aaah:)
