I've just written all my Xmas cards!! Don't you all just hate me? :D
I don't think I've ever got them done in November..

Bread is in the BM so the house is smelling lovely. Should be done in about 50 mins.

Have cooked dinner and hoovered all downstairs. Just call me Anthea Turner

I'm trying to drink half a pint of milk a day (with chocolate nesquik) in a vain attempt to get my nails looking nice in time for our xmas party on 16th.

Time to catch up on all the other diaries....

I have decided that I want a laptop :D. Then I can get rid of this desktop thing and the computer cupboard it's in and replace with a nice shelving unit or something grown-up and tasteful.

I will have to save though rather than get it on credit, so I will be saving my £2 coins to do it. So far I have £2 :D

Will change signature to reflect it and keep me on track

  • I got rid of my desktop last year - threw out the very untidy desk and bought a little cupboard unit to keep the junk in;) The desktop had stopped working so seemed like a good idea - we all have a laptop anyway:o I got the desktop fixed recently just before my extended warranty was up - it was lovely to have it back for a week, then it died again:mad: I should have got it sent back but I haven't got room for it now after throwing out the desk, and my laptop is fine - so sticking with that.
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Morning Polesy,

Buying my laptop has made a huge improvement to life. I spent hours sat at the old desktop & consequently has constant aches & pains in my neck, shouders & back. I did buy mine with the CC, but it was on a 0% deal at the time. I had promised my DD one when she started High School & saved up the bulk of the cost using £2 coins savings & my Quidco cashback.

Wishing you lots of luck with this new venture ... will be back with any more ideas to boost the funds if I can think of them :D

Hope you have a nice day
    xx

I never even considered this....at the moment I am kind of sitting at an angle with one of the dining table chairs wedged as close as I can get it.

Will definitely go through Quidco or TopCashBack - it's a way of life now :D

    £1 PAD to barclaycard. :)

    £1.15 on OnePoll :)

Lovely and sunny here so will go for my final run of the week at lunchtime. :)

Have a good day everyone :)

Not much occurring here. A reasonably quiet day at work. Went for my run. Picked DD up from my mum and dad's, managed to get a £9.75 credit from the after school club that I'd paid for tonight that she didn't attend due to the stupid strikers.

Came home, cleaned bathroom, cooked dinner, read with DD.

    £1.70 on OnePoll :)

Need to pay DD's school dinners for December.

Slobbing on sofa time now I think :D

Watched The Ultimate Guide to Penny Pinching last night. The coupon lady lives in my town (they showed the town centre), I'm sure I've seen her somewhere before. She is the same age as me so it's possible.

    £2 PAD to Barclaycard :)

    £1.95 on OnePoll :)

Out tonight for a meal for my friend's 40th. Her present hasn't arrived so will have to turn up with just the card :o. I'm going to drive tonight so hopefully keep it as frugal as possible.

Also out tomorrow night and that won't be a cheap night :D

I've had a really strange weekend. Not as in the paranormal but it has just been so different from my usual.

Had a lovely meal out on Friday night. Total spends including drinks and tip - £18, very good.

Picked DD up yesterday morning from my mum and dads and took her to a cinema party for 10.30. Didn't have to pick her up again till 2.30! Did my A1di shop -£49.29 including £20 cashback for last night's night out. Got a few bits in A$da, used my £1.13 voucher, plus carparking cashback - total spend £6.55. Have gone slightly over my £30 budget but no matter - there were things in there that bumped it up a bit like cold and flu capsules (just in case ;)), shampoo, deodorant etc.

Picked DD up from the party and took her round to my sister who was babysitting her last night (feel so bad for going out 2 nights in a row but that's just how it worked out).

By this time I had a banging headache right behind my left eye. Took a tablet and just prayed it would go. It didn't but dulled slightly. A few JDs helped. Didn't go out till nearly 9pm. My friend drove and we went to 2 bars. I had a nice time but TBH if my head hadn't been so bad I would have felt more sociable. Also I was really on edge in case we bumped into WLM - even though I knew I looked nice I still felt v tense. We didn't so I needn't have worried. Total spend £18 again. Very frugal again. Was back home before midnight so I just watched TV in bed and read and dozed and today my headache has finally gone :j

I also won an auction on ebug at 7.15 this morning - a De$igual coat. I put my bid in at 2.30 this morning and just hoped all the other people bidding on it were fast asleep :D Got it for £34.67 - it retails at £120. It's lovely, a bit weird - right up my street ;)

Just had a lovely bath. Will catch up with Rev then go and pick DD up. I have really missed her. I haven't spent this much time away from her at the weekend ever I think. A couple of years ago I would have absolutely loved this (I used to just craaaaaave time on my own), now it just feels odd.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm, getting colder here......

Just ordered DD something from E L C and managed to find a free delivery code and extra 20% off code so present went from £16 to £12.80 :j

Ordered my Dad some nice shaving soap in a bowl from a gentleman's barbers and unfortunately couldn't find any codes, not too bothered because I know he will really like it. I think that's my only present I've paid full price for :D

Sent off my eBay sale :)

    £2.65 on OnePoll :)

£1.12 PAD to Barclaycard :) made up entirely from Quidco check-ins :D

Bought 16m of wrapping paper for £1.98 from A1di ;) hope it's not the flimsy horrible stuff.

My friend's birthday present finally turned up. It is very pretty.

    Think that's it for now..
