You sound extremely relaxed, that's good for the soul.

Busy busy busy the last few days.

Went to the farm on Tuesday and got sunburnt  I am so cross with myself because I am usually so careful. We just didn't expect it to be a) dry and b) quite as hot as it was. Never mind, the redness is going a bit, just a bit angry looking around my neck, very attractive, not.

Had a bit of a spend yesterday. Needed to get a new bin for the kitchen, also got a little pressie for the girl who gave us all those clothes. Took DD to yet another farm where we did a Summer treasure Trail. Sorted out the books under DDs bed and hoovered under it too. As usual I left it to the last minute to make sure all her things were labelled and sorted out her PE kit. Did a bit of ironing. Finally made it to bed about 11.30!

DD woked me up this morning - "You have remembered it's a school day haven't you???". How could I forget? She was actually really excited to go back which is a good thing - probably couldn't wait to be away from my shouting :o

Anyway she went in and I didn't even get a wave :(. I am pleased about this - at least she wasn't crying and clinging to my legs.

Took our old bin to the tip and then drove into town. I have been a bit norty and bought myself some clothes. I was just going to treat myself to some new underwear ;););) but in Asda I saw a really nice grey cardigan that I could just wear with jeans (fed up with looking so scruffy out of work) and a plain white T-shirt which is always handy to have. I did get the underwear too. Then I went to Primark and got some more undies ;) and a pair of boots. Spent £47  which is a lot for me to spend on myself in one go but I did get things I needed and I tried everything on. Not got much money left now but my shopping is already accounted for, I have my eBay money which I haven't touched, child benefit is still to go in this month and there is always the maintenance. It's all good.

Going to clear out my wardrobe and hoover all down here so I don't have to do it later. Making roasted butternut squash risotto for lunch. Mmmmmmm....

Time for a coffee and a brioche roll first though :D

Well I am well and truly stuffed after that lunch.

Have just gone absolutely mental in my wardrobe. Managed to save a few bits to eBay the rest is either charity shop and rather a lot I'm ashamed to say is only fit for the bin :(. It's good though. I think it was cluttering up my life. Now at least I can see what I've got. Or rather what i haven't got :D

Well done on the wardrobe declutter. I did it last month and you are right it does clutter up your life. Wish I could persuade OH who just arrived home this weekend with another 2 bags of clothes from his parents. Yes that included his swimming club jacket from when he was 5 years old  What to do? Mmmmm buy another wardrobe perhaps?

Any way, I hope that you can now see what you havent got and get that list going for the capsule wardrobe. I cant believe how many different outfits I have ended up with out of so few clothes. Amazing.

This is the aim. I have loads of clothes for work, weather permitting, but very little for when it starts to get colder.

I love your new signature quote btw.

'Date' came round on Friday and we had a really lovely time :D. I feel very happy at the moment. Roll on next friday for Muse.

Not really done much this weekend which is just as well because I am quite broke. Visited a friend yesterday and DD played with her daughter. Had a rotten headache in the evening so took a couple of tablets and lost the rest of the evening because they knocked me out!

I'm actually feeling a bit rough today. Am convinced I am coming down with a cold but it seems to be taking days to materialise. I feel really tired and achey and I came over really hot earlier.

Back to work on Tuesday. I have done all my housework so don't need to do anything tomorrow if I don't feel like it. I will end up doing loads though I just know it because I can't sit still for 5 mins!

I'm hoping that now DD has gone back to school our spends will go down. The envelope/pot system has gone belly up and I have had to shuffle loads around from other pots. At least now she is having a cooked school lunch she'll only have something light in the evening and I can cook myself something cheap when she's gone to bed.

Going to crash out on the sofa now....

Forgot to say i went shopping with a friend on Friday. We went to a really nice town and browsed through the charity shops.

    I bought:-

An Autograph top - £7.50, ticket says it was a size 16 but it fits me perfectly, a size 10? Weird but glad my friend spotted it.

A blue and white pot from cancer research. It's very shabby chic and was only £1. I've put it on my ktchen windowsill.

A red leather Designers at Debenhams hanbag for £6 from British Red Cross! Bargain. I get bored with handbags really quickly so don't like to spend too much. This is perfect and it's got loads of zips and compartments so theoretically I should be able to find things easily :rotfl:
Thing is we went for lunch at a church bookshop coffee shop. I put the bag down, went to the loo then found out they they didn't have half the stuff on the menu so we decided to go somewhere else. As I was tucking into my food I realised I'd left the bag in the other place. Still there are worse places to leave your shopping and if it had been taken from a church bookshop I would have lost all faith in humanity. Thankfully it was exactly where I'd left it tucked down by the side of the chair.

Now I really am off. Going to watch Rules of Engagement then if I'm feeling brave - U Be Dead......eek.

Why isn't the envelope system working? Is there just not enough money in the envelopes to cover what you buy or are you feeling deprived like me? I have just over €10 left until Thursday by my system. I have food so it should be fine but I feel miserable about it.

What DC says - perhaps it is the autumn blues though and we are all feeling a bit deprived. Back to my signature tune "I have more than enough for my needs"
