Good luck Poles. Glad you had a good time at Muse. i like WLM or WIL MAN or does that sound rude? HA wonder what he would think if he knew we were talking about him?

  • Hi Poles

I'm back from my hols a wee bit poorer and a bit freckly but had a wonderful time. (BF looks turkish he's that dark - not fair:p)

My DFW halo had started slipping before my hols but it just took that break for me to wise up and decide to get back on the wagon :). I think it happens to everyone every now and again.

So catching up with everyone's diaries and going to spend tmw updating mine and reading Memory girls. I'm not back to work for another week and am going to spend the week decluttering and ironing a mahooosive pile of clothes from our holidays (to sadly put away for another year).

Glad things with WLM are going strong.

Typical weekend here, mainly housework, although I do feel better once it's done. Just finished a huge stack of ironing which I was going to leave until tomorrow because I've got a banging headache so I'm really glad I've done it and it's all put away.

We had a leaflet in DD's school bag about a church down the road that now has a cinema club and they were showing Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang today. DD had already seen it but I hadn't and she wanted to go again so along we went. Well, I was so impressed. We got there early as I had over-estimated how long it was going to take us to walk there, but they welcomed us in, made me a cup of tea and Dd some squash and then we waited for the others to turn up. We didn't have to pay a thing, although I did put 50p in a cup (the lady wouldn't take a £1) and they stopped the film halfway through for 10 minutes and we all had an ice cream (again free). The show a film every couple of months so we will definitely go again.

Not seeing WLM till Friday as we are both busy till then. Not seen him since last saturday! In a way it makes me feel good because I am actually missing him which must mean something. I am going to cook this time and he is bringing dessert. Roll on Friday.....

My central heating is now on. I always try to last until 1 October but every year with just days to go we get a really cold snap so today it just had to go on. I have put the winter duvets on too. DD has got a rotten cold and sore throat so I want her to be all snuggly too.

Off round a friends tomorrow for tea and a natter. If I've got time in the morning I'm going to make a pavlova to take round there.

Welcome back. How lovely to have another week off before you get back to work. :) You will probably need all that time to catch up with all the diaries :rotfl:

  • Some of the diaries move sooo fast.

Have wondered towards the pile of ironing and have decided to go back to reading the diaries instead. Nothing like a pile of ironing to make you realise that the holiday is really over for another year. Hope your headache has gone

It was really good (as childrens films go), better than the first one I thought.

Turned myself into a domestic goddess yesterday. Got all the bedding washed and dried, then DD helped me do the dusting and polishing. I even did the mirror wardrobes in my room, a job I hate to do but love the results.

Cooked a roast and made a pavlova to take round my friends. Felt like a real pig when I got home but had that wonderful feeling that all my chores were done and I could just lie on the sofa :)

The money from my Muse tickets has now been released (paypal witholds the money for 3 weeks for ticket sales) so I have transferred some of that to my bank account. Payday this Friday and I still have money left! This is not bad considering I had 2 weeks off within this salary month and also had to pay for the after school club fees. My 'envelope' system for food only went slightly awry so i will continue with that next month.

77p PAD today to Virgin CC. I hope to make a bigger lump sum to that on Friday as well as my usual PADs and my minimum payment.

Not gone for a run today even though it is an absolutely glorious day for the time of year. We had a powercut here at about 9.30 for 2 hours and consequently I have work to catch up with (so really shouldn't be on here :rotfl:)

    TTFN!

    Morning,
Sounds like you have had a rather nice time of late and been very productive too. Missing WLM is a good thing, it means that you will both appreciate your time together much more.
I wasnt sure about the Nanny McPhee film but when I watched it thought that it was ok actually.
