Well, I finally have some of each of my varieties:
Orange Banana, Millefleur (yellow cherry), Kumato (small round & brown), & Purple Ukraine.
Amish Paste:
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Only a few eddible toms in sheff. But have npoticed these are in the little green house that gets more sun than the other. My neighbour also gave me a massive bag of toms, all of hers are in her conservatory and going red mega fast, so def think we need heat and lots of sun to get them to ripen. By the way they are the same plants as she gave me some of hers.0

I've picked several pounds now. The first ones came from my tumbling red and yellow varieties. But I'm disappointed with all this rain which is really setting back the outdoor ripening process. Some on the turn I've picked and now got ripening on newspaper covered trays indoors. I'm concerned that all the rain will cause night-time temperatures to drop quite considerable which sometimes causes tomatoes to develop blotches on their skins, so will watch the situation carefully and pick and ripen the rest indoors if necessary although I do think this impairs the flavour. But I just haven't got any room in my cupboards for another jar of green tomato chutney!0

We lost quite a few with the recent rain- fallen off plants and slugs have got them. Still picked loads though so can't complain.0

            Hi:j
OH is trying the old banana skin trick, but it hasn't worked yet. It is always so grey with not much sun and in previous years, we were harvesting in July.
