I completely agree, it is your choice. I don't have any children, but I was living at home when I was dating my (now) husband. We have only been allowed to stay in the same room at my parents house since we got our own place together. His dad was always a lot more relaxed but it never really bothered us either way. Mainly because we wouldn't have done anything with the parents in the house anyway :o

i have a 16 yr old son who has been in a relationship for 6 mths

we know they are having sex but when she stays over i make them sleep in seperate rooms, but when he stays at her house they sleep in the same room.

i am not altogether comfortable with them sleeping in the same room plus i have an 8yr old and 3 yr old to consider

am i being mean in this decision

Definitely not. Stand your ground. And let them know that you are not happy with them staying in a room together.

Absolutely not - you have your younger children to consider, and I wouldn't be allowing it either in my home.

I am probably just adding fuel to the fire, but if both sets of parents didn't allow their respective children's partners to stay in the same room, where and when are they supposed to have sex? And they won't just 'not do it'.
Hmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!

er... I would regard that as their problem to inventively solve. Like the generations before them.
