Oooops I've been awol again - running out of enthusiasm for a diary, but here goes with a quick update.
MSE stuff....contents insurance was up for renewal so have changed providers - cheaper quote by £17 a year and went through Quidco for £50 cashback, which has tracked...fab:beer: That'll make the year cost about £30, not bad.
What else? Returned some stuff I bought in Next...was 2 pairs of work trousers as lots of mine from the spring are too big. Tried on some I have from when I was thinner, but the 8s all just a bit snug, damn. So looked on ebay and found the exact same pair of my fave trousers that are just too tight in my 8, in a 10 - cost me £4 and they are perfect - it was my lucky day;) Returned a bag I bought too, and hadn't used - I liked it but didn't love it enough, so back it went! Bought some nice black skinny jeans in Tesco as they were only £15 - get to the till and there is 30% off all denim, bargain and they're a perfect fit - very happy!!
I have had to just go buy a toilet seat though as I completely broke the clip thing holding the current one on, oops...there goes £17. Girls are at cheerleading right now, dinner's in the oven - our usual Thursday jacket pots. They're with their dad this weekend but I'm feeding them tomorrow as dd2 wants to stay home and watch some film premiere then go to him:D So a quiet Sat/Sun for me.
I have heard about my uni work - have until Jan to get it in, which gives me some breathing space, although I do need to crack on and not get swamped with work when the new year starts too.
Ok, off to lie on the sofa for 10 mins before I need to sort dinner.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Perhaps your lack of enthusiasm for the diary means you're now so on track you don't need it to help you anymore?? We'd miss you though:o
You're right to get as much of this year's course work done as possible before the new term starts. Why not try a planner to map it out? Enjoy your quiet weekend.0 -
Ok, it's very hard to be MSE when Unis and Student loan people keep throwing money at me:o Had a letter from the Uni today to say I'm recieving an additional £1200 in 3 installments as a bursary payment. I didn't apply for it, but am entitled to it, I didn't know:cool:
This year I'll have more money than ever in recent years, which seems mad.
Talking of Uni....must do some more reading and planning for the essay. I also have 4 work based tasks to do, but they're only short - 1250 words each, so that's not too daunting. Girls are with their dad until tomorrow, so peace and rest for me.....just what I need;)
Have meal planned for the week and done an Asda shop to be delivered tomorrow - delivery is only £3 any day after 1pm which is great. If I went to the shop, not only would I spend petrol as it's a 20min drive, but would buy extras that'd definitely cost me more than £3:TI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hi Milly
Hope you & the girls are okay.
Congratulation & well done :j being debt free, excellent achievement.
Promise you won't stop posting, we will miss you & your diary
How are you healthwise now that you are back at work/Uni?
Good news on Quidco, I never seem to do very well with them, I changed my elec/gas and should have received £95.00. When it tracked it was £40.00, I queried it and it never was resolved.
Enjoy your weekend.

Hello Debbie;)
Nah, nothing doing on that front - he wanted me to ring him to speak properly as opposed to emailing....I was too chicken so apologised and said so...he said he was dyslexic and preferred to speak! I honestly hate phones though, I barely speak to my family on them...really don't enjoy having to ring anyone, ever:o
So I think it's a no-go...shame, he did seem nice:o
As for how do I feel...? Not bad thanks, still not back to normal completely - my tum still gets unsettled and I'm very bloated in the evenings...but luckily I don't have a social life so staying home on the sofa suits me:D
Back to Uni on the 29th, so there goes my lovely Wednesday off...been enjoying that.
Hope you're feeling better now too:pI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Well done on becoming debt free. It must be such a lovely feeling

I know what you mean about not doing the diary. I have been so busy or tired all I have been doing in the evening (after I have done everything else that is) is slob about on the sofa! I do think I need it though because I seem to have fallen off the wagon slightly when it comes to MSE.
Do keep posting
It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey

Hi Milly
Another phone phobic like me
hate them and do not get me started on mobiles
That's good news health wise, it will take time as they say it can take up to a year to fully recover from surgery; pain wise you sound much better.
Shame about the no-go.
Feeling so much better now although I have lost 2 stone, I put on loads of weight when I broke my ankle & was unable to run, sensible eating was the way feel so much better but none of my clothes fit.
Did you watch X factor & Phil Collins?
