    Good morning:D
My last day off today:( I go back to school tomorrow, dd2 on Thurs and dd1 on Fri.
Not much happening today - need to go pick up the girls uniforms at the school at some point....last minute, not my choice! Girls are sleeping at their friends tonight so that means I can get to bed early and they won't have to get up really early when I leave tomorrow!
Still got my list of stuff I need from Boots - may go later, if I feel like it:o
Am just waiting for the doc to ring back - either with an appt or some advice and a prescription, hopefully;)

Money wise - yesterday was an NSD apart from the milk, potatoes and onions. I'll be relieved to get back to work and stop the money being spent:D

Typical - the weather's lovely now we're going back to school:o

Grrrrrrr:mad: Went to the girls' school to pick up the uniforms....except we get there and the blazers aren't in until tomorrow....arghhhhh. The shirts we ordered are horrible, jumpers very thik and dd1's skirt was below her knees - needless to say she refuses to keep it;)

So another trip up there tomorrow, after work. Meeting my friend who has my 2 tomorrow and we'll hope the blazers fit - haven't tried before buying, just had to guess at a size (where's the sarcastic smiley when you need it:D)

Just dropped girls at their friends, had a cuppa and moan with their mum.

So, today what have I done? Rang student finance about the deferral of my old loans and finally got round to filling in the forms and sending back. I paid the cheque from ex-mil in too, £40 towards uniforms. I rang Blockbuster and cancelled the free trial. Went to Boots with dd2, bought a load of much needed bits then bought her lunch in Mcd;s as a treat for coming with me;)

Am very tired as I made myslef get up earlier today, so I'll sleep well tonight - ready for back to work:) So a night on the sofa watching Holby then a lovely early night, with no children to dance about refusing to go to sleep!!!

Hope first day back at school went well and girls' uniforms are all sorted.
  • Thaanks for finding the smiley Maman - I miss that one...and the rolling eyes one!!!
So - back to work for me, my first full day this year:rotfl: Was good to be back;)
We picked up the girls blazers so all ready there too - dd2 in tomorrow and dd1 on Friday.
Just bought rolls and single cream today for tonight's pasta...we're all fed and ready for an early night! Luckily the girls stayed up late at their friends last night so are very very tired...dd2 wants to go to bed early:D

Off to put my PJs on and have a lie on the sofa...my legs are so weary;)

  • So, all back to school:D Girls both got on fine, so did I - but I have been soooo tired:o
DD2 is at a Guide day out today, dd1 with her dad. The mattresses arrived this morning, so got the bedding all being washed and ex is coming to take the mattresses up to the beds and bring down the old ones - I need to sort out getting rid of them now..hmmmm, forgot about that:o

My mum and stepdad coming today later, to do the garden and stepad going to patch up the bit of rust on my car. I need to get off here and go tidy up, place is a mess as I've been too tired after work this week!

Won't spend anything today. Got Asda delivery coming tomorrow which I must finish adding to tonight.

  • Morning...what a dull, wet one it is here:(

I've just withdrawn £10 from the scratchcard site, hooray! I am going to go and get dressed soon then at 10 I shall watch 'Something for the weekend' on bbc2 and do some ironing. When that's finished I'm going to make girls beds up - washed all the bedding yesterday reaady to put on the new mattresses.

I have Asda coming between 1 and 3, shopping came to about £70 with a free delivery code they sent me. I also need to start some essay work this afternoon....that I am NOT looking forward to but I can feel a mini pabnic coming on whenever I think of college:eek:

Spending account is looking good - £80 in there and all I need to buy out of that this week is petrol. So the rest will move to savings on Wed before Tax Credits go in Thrus. It's definitely saving me money with us 3 being back at school:D

I've meal planned for the week - we're at my sister's on Saturday as it's bro in law's birthday, so that'll be nice.

Girls are back at cheerleading this week, so that will need to be paid for - but money is accounted for in my 'clubs account'...nice for it to not have to come out of my Spending account.

Anyway, time to get dressed and do some ironing...boo to school shirts, especially as dd2 now has them too:o

  • Another p-cone survery done for £3 soon:D

I've done the ironing, made up girls' beds and tidied up a bit there. Have hoovered downstairs, tidied lounge and sat reading Memory Girl's book with a cuppa;) I now need to stop finding things to do to avoid thinking/starting my essay:rotfl:

Asda due any time now - hopefully it'll come soon so I can put it all away and get on with the work this afternoon. I frustrate myself at my procrastination....why do I do it?!

    You have been busy!

I agree with what you say about not spending so much money once the kids go back to school. I am back to work on Tuesday and now DD is having school dinners again it means she only wants something light when she comes in and I can cook myself something cheap once she's gone to bed.

Hope your tummy is OK now.

Hope you made a start milly. You'll feel better when you're in control of the work (just like you have taking control of finances). Have a good week.

I made a small start:o A few brainstorms of ideas, a text to friend on the course asking for some notes from a session i missed which she's dropping to work for me - that'll help.

The rain has arrived here now...it's miserable. DD1's at cheerleading and dd2's chopping veg for dinner - they're having chow mein and noodles, I'm having cold chicken, veg and Ainsley couscous, I didn't fancy the chow mein again;)

I spent £10 today on my staff fund at work - it's £5 a term so I thought i'd get 2 terms out of the way, wont owe any more til after Easter now. I also took another £10 out of the bank for sponsor money for my friend who ran a half marathon yesterday for CLIC, such a good charity to give money to. £10 on petrol too, will put more in this week at a petrol station that's cheaper than the village one;)

Ok, off to supervise the onion chopping:D
