Another of dd's games sold last night - this one for £18:beer: Also overnight I've sold a pair of jeans for £4.50.

Girls are all still asleep, I made myself get up....tempting as it was to stay in bed;) I didn't sleep very well - have had an aching back and neck recently, the back is just getting worse so it disrupted my sleep. I'm wondering if it's withdrawal from my steroids - I was taking them for well over a year non stop and maybe I didn't come off them slowly enough? Have a doctor appointment on Monday anyway cos this is really annoying me.

My niece is going home today and I'll take my 2 to the cinema later. Got a pile of things to retrun to New Look on the way, so that'll make the bank look a bit healthier.

I took girls swimming yesetrday and wrote my meal plan and shopping list while I waited. Going to go shopping on monday, we won't need much until then - girls with their dad tomorrow and we're going to my sister's on Saturday for the night.

I want to get more of my essay done today...lots needs doing tomorrow definitely if I'm to hand it in on Wednesday next week:eek:

So, off I go to have a shower, get dressed and tidy up:)

Sorry to hear about your back milly, definitely check it out with the doctor.

You seem to be giving the girls (and niece) a good time over half term, well done you!

It'll be good to have a bit of time to yourself at the end of the week. You MUST get your assignment done then. I promise you'll be delighted with yourself when it's done. And don't forget to have a bit of pampering planned, you deserve it;)
  • Arghhhhh I neglected my diary:(

Ok, back again though. I had a course of antibiotics as doc thought I had a water infection. I do feel a lot better, thought the antib's really didn't agree with my newly delicate, post-surgery insides! SO had a couple of days off last week. Although the aches have eased I do still feel it so might go back to the doctor - he did say we may need to check more things out, humpphhhhh;)

One good thing though - finished my essay last weekend:beer: Going to hand it in tomorrow as just not had a chance to get to the college. I am still feeling very overwhelmed with it all. If it wasn't for the fact that I'd get no fee support, I'd jack it in for now and finish another year...I constantly worry about it and what with feeling below par so much, it's bl00dy hard going:o

On the money front...hmmmmmm. We're just back from town, not exactly sure what I spent - mostly on dd1, but she did only have 1 pair of shoes for the winter, so bought boots for her and nwe Converse which were in the sale and she paid ghalf of. Also, I buy in New Look where I get 10% student discount:D

I must admit to buying 2 bottles of perfume for myslef....BUT, they were both in the sale at £10 each (half price)...and in all honesty, I have no one else to buy perfume for me now....boohooo:rotfl:

I've sold a few bits on ebay - a pair of nice Clarks boots went ofr £25 which I was pleased with. Got a few more bits still listed with lots of watchers.

Had a great order with Boots yesterday - 3 eye make up kits that were originall £35 each, reduced and still in the 3 for 2, then with another 33% off....so got 3 for £18 after using a £5off code! Also bought girls a hairdryer, funky zebra print one reduced from £60 to £25 - they only have a travel one right now and it smells a bit of buring if you use it too long!

    Hope everyone is good:)

Glad to have you back milly

Good news about your essay. I know it's hard going but you'll feel great when you can put the letters after your name! I don't know what you intend to do with the degree when you finish but it's likely it'll be a job that's hard going too, so the work is good preparation:)

:Ton the perfume presents for yourself, you deserve them!
  • Thank you maman, I do love perfume so to me that's money well spent!

Essay is handed in and I spoke to my tutor and am staying home tomorrow to start some more darn assignments that I want done;)

I checked my banking again today - that account with the fraudulent bits - and the £200-odd had gone back in....but another £95 been taken:mad::mad: Very annoying that someone somewhere has most likely got away with it. The bank were very good - it'll be back in 2 days and I have my new card today, this payment was just done before the card cancelled. So strange as it's a debit card that has never been used, not once, it lives in the drawer. So really odd...scary though that it can happen:(

Anyway, not a lot else to report. I bought another treat yesterday - Take That cd....I couldn't wait til Xmas:o It's so good, I absolutely love it and it's worth every penny:D

DD2 has a friend here tonight so nice easy dinner of pizza and oven chips for us all...bliss, no proper cooking!

My Boots order came yesterday and the make up sets that were 3 for £18 instead of £35 each are gorgeous....I want to keep one for myslef, but don't need it! Will give my 2 1 each for XMas and 1 to dd1's friend who's bday is on Xmas day...her Mum's my good friend so I like to buy something decent:T

Christmas is looking quite organised, girls both wanted a new phone so I have them, safely bought while in stock. I need a few ideas for my sis, her hub and my Mum but otherwise pretty sorted. Luckily I don't buy for too many people.

Ok, off to do some ironing...it'll warm me up:D

  • Afternoon all:)
Well after a few days thinking I was seriously going to have to give up my course, I've seen my tutor today and she's made me feel alot better:o I have a plan to get a short assignment done by next week, starting with some research tonight. She thinks that if I could drop a day at work then that would be perfect and help me get back on my feet - I am terrified of asking though....maybe I'll approach the head tomorrow.

Money was the main reason for not wanting to leave;) I think I'd have some grant to repay and also, as I've studied before, I'd not get any fee help or loan to retake the year...must just have a go....! This is like deja vu isn't it?! Deffo been here before - but had I known in the summer that I'd stillfeel carp now then I'd have deferred the year - too late now.

Sold a jacket I bought from Blacks, on ebay for £55 - it was buy one get one half price, so got 2 North Face rainproof jackets for £75 then a code took it to £67. So as I sold one jacket for £55 it meant my jacket cost me £12:beer: Lovely jacket for the srping, not warm enough for now, but I havent had a rainproof coat in ages.

Must go pick up dd1 from seeing Harry Potter again.

Good to hear from you milly. I'm so pleased you're sticking with your course. Go and see the head ASAP, explain what you've just said on here that you'd have deferred if you'd realised you weren't going to feel well enough but had assumed you'd recover more quickly post-op. Tell her you really, really want to pass the course and then ask her a favour, she may even help you with assignments!!

    Evening;)
Another assignment done and emailed to my tutor:T
I was planning on going to college this morning but I have been sleeping really badly these last few nights so just stayed at home and slept til 9.30. I am so tired still so hope I sleep tonight, but have been tired every night and still toss and turn and wake up every hour once I do drop off:( I'm useless with no sleep, can't function!

DD2 and I went to town to see the lights after school today and the Xmas market, and she bought a funny teddy hat...nice and warm:)
Stopped in at Argos and bought a new tree, a decent 6foot one this time and some lights - all were reduced. So will get the tree and rest of the decorations up on Friday, can't wait!

That damn money that was spent from my account fraudulently still hasn't been paid back - am seriously not impressed at the service from the bank with this - the transaction was on Nov 12th and I rang immediately, would quite like my £95 back:mad: If it's not in tomorrow I'm on the phone yet again:mad:

I realised I can't ask at work to drop any hours - firstly, I only work 20 hours now as I dropped Wed for college - another day would take me to 15, below the 16 required to claim working tax credit. And then I thought Ok, I'll ask to drop an afternoon, but then they use me so much, I am madly busy all the time and just can't ask, so must pull my finger out work wise and get it done - I can do it:D:D

Good to hear from you again milly. Sorry to hear you can't change your work arrangements but :T:T:T on getting another assignment sorted. What's next?

Good to hear your Christmas arrangements are all going well. I'm sure your new tree and everything will look great.

Next assignment is a 2500 word essay, so not huge at all...on research methodology;) Should be ok, have some good books to get reading and make some notes and a vague plan.

SO, we had snow last night - not enough though:( Seems to be going a bit, shame - I quite fancied a day off sometime...being snowed in suits me fine:D

Must ring the bank now....am very frustrated by this, why should I have to make phone call after phone call to get back my own money:mad:
