My latest order arrived today, spot on time, and everything very well packed. Bottles and jars all survived intact. If you were lucky enough to get the Don Carlos Organic Olive Oil, it's great. Looking forward to trying the Garlic Dough Balls and Pizza Swirls which, incidentally, are Morrison's although marked as 'de-identified'. Even DH was impressed by the amount of foodstuffs for the price paid. Just need to find somewhere to pack it all away now. Cupboards are bursting at the seams! I really am impressed by this firm. They've had their problems in the past, but I'm extremely happy with their professionalism and the quality of the goods.

  • .....i am annoyed with them. i placed an order on 23/09 and as of yesterday (2 weeks later!), there was still no parcel and zero communication. money was taken out promptly from my account.

I sent them and email and got a quick reply saying that my parcel was damaged - offering me a full refund.

Not imPressed at all as i spend ages making up my order and waiting for it to come. plus, they should have had the courtesy to inform me about the 'damaged' parcel earlier, instead of waiting until now. :@

this is my second time ordering with them. first order was ok and good service. But this Time, i am not imPressed at all.

This has probably been asked before but I'm a bit stuck on the pricing. For example, fray bentos steak pies come in a case of 6. Price is 99p. Now is this per case or per single item? I'm guessing if you order a quantity of one you get 6 pies? lol, sorry to appear thick but I can't see they would sell 6 pies for 99p surely?

It is per item. Sometimes they sell by the case but it clearly says case price. If in doubt put quantity in your basket and you will see the total.

I've just looked at "Fray Bentos Steak with 3 veg pie 425g " and it says they are 99p each, but also says 6 per case.

I tried adding 1 to my basket and the price was 99p, so I guess that was for 1 pie. I guess if you want a case of pies you have to add 6 to your basket.

Sometimes they do fool you, as I found to my cost a while ago & had cases of something when I expected singles. A good way I have now discovered as a seasoned approved foods buyer, is put 1 in your basket & check the weight.
If you have a 99p shop close by, they always have fray bentos pies in, I don't know about poundland.

Has anyone else tried big brands for less http://www.bigbrandsforless.co.uk/, same type of stuff. Last week they were doing 200% extra free. Unfortunately I got so excited I didn't use my full 29kg allowance but did get 30, tins beans, 30 tins soup, 30 stir fry sauce jars, 3 jars pickled onions & 10.5kg scone mix, £10.25 with delivery.

My Demeter apple puree arrived today with my order- those jars are big and it is really lovely stuff. And good to know it is harvested bio dynamically in tune with the phases of the moon!
Also, good reports from the teenagers on the cranberry drinks and the cashews are great.

I've got a jar of apple puree, but not sure what to do with it now I've got it :o
