has anyone made up any of the jelly crystals yet? i cant get it to set!!!!!
That is a serious weakness in a jelly mix.
• I had ordered the jelly and was already wondering if I'd regret it, it a big bag full. So when I saw your post I was cautious of making it carefully. I made up a litre and it was fine. I was carefully to under dilute it rather than over. I put ice cubes in when I put in the cold water for it to cool quicker. It has set fine, can't say it's very tasty but the kids enjoyed it. Will dig out some recipes for mousse etc that use jelly to get it used up. I'm sure it will make up lots and lots of cheap deserts for my three boys will be useful.

I'm hosting a dinner party tonight, so I'll be baking some of the focaccia bread to go with the olives and oils (avocado oil and chilli oil) as a starter. Budget-tastic!

The main course and dessert are fresh, but tomorrow morning I'll be serving Approved Food apricot compote with greek yoghurt, plus Approved Food crunchy chocolate cereal :)

• I've seen it on peoples posts but when I search for it I get nothing back.

I'm taking it that it is a out of date food site but I could be completely wrong.

Please help.

Thanks

Approved foods They're good for some things but the really good bargains go quick.

It's where you buy conveniences food that have short dates on them :) As this is more suited to the Food Shopping Board, I'll move it over.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

here is the thread about approved food https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2624867
and here is the site
http://www.approvedfood.co.uk/.
The stock really varies from week to week and sometimes it is really high quality stuff, and has saved me loads of money. It is not without its foibles and problems though.

My Approved Foods dinner party went really, really well... the only shame was that the focaccia bread didn't rise particularly well, which I strongly suspect is because it's five months past its Best Before and the yeast has been affected. However, the focaccia 'biscuits' dipped in homemade humous were popular so I'll make more!

My Demeter apple puree arrived today with my order- those jars are big and it is really lovely stuff. And good to know it is harvested bio dynamically in tune with the phases of the moon!
Also, good reports from the teenagers on the cranberry drinks and the cashews are great.
