As a mum of two teens, with voracious appetites, because they both are involved with an athletics club, I can`t fault Approved Foods - found the link here in Feb 2013 and have ordered regularly since. Great offers - especially ones with p&p reductions keep me returning. My son and daughter love the energy and isotonic drinks, and many snack foods, dried fruit and nuts, pasta etc., always offered and I love the prices - I placed an order just before Christmas expecting to have it delivered on 30th Dec, but it arrived next day!! Fantastic!0

Approved food - what could possibly be less approvable than this little lot?
What business is it of yours? Self righteous snob. I bet my bottom dollar you have more than a few habits the rest of us would shake our heads at.0 -

Yes, I also ordered because of the Heinz Tomato soup special offer, but also because of the Lyons Good Morning (yellow box) coffee bags. I usually get the Lyons coffee bags (green box) from Mr Ts, and limit myself to one a day as they are soooooo expensive - around £2.60 a pack. However, I got 12 packs from AF, each containing 18 individually-wrapped coffee bags, for £9 total. Woo hoo - might even go mad and have two a day!
Ordered on 15th Jan and delivered on 21st Jan by Citylink - easy to track on line, and they give you a two-hour delivery slot when it reaches your local driver. Mine arrived slap bang in the middle of the slot they gave me. Everything fine. The new way of packing jars in slotted dividers means I've not had any breakages for months.
And if anyone was wondering, the Cussons Baby soap, almond and rose oil, is excellent - a bit of a 'yukky' pink colour, but nicely perfumed and lathers lovely.
Well done again, AF.0 -

That's interesting - I dread my order coming by Citylink rather than DPD. Even when it's with the local driver I can't get beyond 'some time today', while DPD give a one hour time slot via text, with the option to change the delivery day.0 -
What's everyone's thoughts? The deals seem good but the delivery is so steep! Is it worth it? Do they ever do delivery offers?Pay off Debts by Christmas 2015 = DEBT FREE!0

I agree about the steep delivery charge and always make sure the savings on the food are enough to warrant paying £7.50!.
I have placed an order today for £43 including delivery as I have bought a couple of large bags of pasta and some other bulk items so even with delivery costs, it still works out cheaper. I don't bother buying unless the offers are really good as they aren't that much cheaper than Ald!'s or L!dls.0 -

Depends how your mindset works. If you think of the standard £5.25 delivery charge as a percentage of the cost then yes it may appear high. I think of it as a percentage of the cost that I may have paid if I bought from a normal supermarket..
They do sometimes have free delivery if you spend a lot - or they have some products which offer a delivery discount - look under the "discount shipping" tab - for example at the moment they are doing a bag of 1Kg of honey roast peanuts at £2.99 + a £1 delivery discount

And until recently they where doing these packs of 76 finish dishwasher tabs at £9.99 + £5 off shipping

Placed and received my first order with Approved foods and just wanted to say that they are definitely going to be getting a repeat visit from me.
The delivery charge is a bit on the steep side but then when I received this I was more than impressed it was well packaged with air bubbles in the right places and all boxed into small boxes, there was no damage and everything was accounted for with a itemised invoice as well.
DPD delivered as stated and recieved emails and texts to update me me so I knew exactly when my delivery was coming.
On to their produce, all good and absolutely fabulous. Even my fussy (date phobic) hubby couldnt believe the cost for what I got and the even dishwasher tablets have a sell-by date.
Good work Approved Foods, a happy customer over here. :T0 -

Exactly my thoughts. Found DPD much better in my area .0
