The order I received on Monday was damaged too. Someone must have been having a bad day.
I had half a dozen smashed jars at the bottom of my box, the contents of which went and spread over everything else.

As with you Kayl, I made a complaint the same day, and sent a photograph of the mess I had to deal with, but have not heard anything for two days now.

My previous orders from Approved food have been delivered by DPD - great service and you can see online where the courier is.
Order that came today was delivered by UKMail - totally CRAP service.
Checked emails this morning to see if parcel due - nothing, no texts either. Went out this afternoon and order arrives while I'm out. They sent an email at 3.24 to say my delivery slot is 3.04 - 4.04 - the words chocolate and teapot come to mind
I can do without the hassle, so won't be ordering from Approved food again.

My latest order, received on Tuesday, was potentially a disaster. Despite the bubble wrap round my jars of pickled onions, one had leaked and a large bag of muffin mix was soaking wet and quite pungent. Tried to phone them, but no success. Left number for return call, which didn't happen. However, received apologetic email on Wednesday, confirming credit in my account. I suppose all's well that ends well, but my grandkids will be slightly disappointed not to be enjoying tons of home-made muffins and I am disappointed not to be enjoying cheap and yummy cake. Maybe as well.....think of the waistline! :)

Can the approved food representative who visits this page take some steps to resolve problems with your customer service? Emails go unanswered and your contact telephone number goes to an answering service which cuts off after 2 seconds. TIA.

Have they given up DPD? They give not only a date but a one hour time slot.

My order has apparently been with an unnamed courier since yesterday - no tracking details - with a delivery window of yesterday to Monday.

I have to go out some time tomorrow, and know I'm going to miss them.

It's a good enough reason to stop buying from them, especially as they are currently impossible to get hold of.

I had an order delivered last week via UK Mail and agree with a previous poster about the terrible service. I was given no indication of day or time of delivery so each time I went out I left a notice of the door asking for the parcel to be placed in a safe area near my garage, or for them to come back after 5pm or for them to come back the following day. I specified quite clearly that under no circumstances should the parcel be left with a neighbour. Guess what!!! I came home to find a note saying my delivery had been made to a neighbour 3 doors away. Very embarrassing for me as I hardly know them and the box was absolutely huge and blocked their hallway all day. So the UK mail driver completely ignored my instructions and caused me a lot of embarrassment and my neighbour a lot of inconvenience. This will make me think twice about re ordering as I don't want to risk a delivery again from this company. A shame really as DPD have been excellent in the past.
