  • I've ordered a couple of times, all the food has been great and the delivery quick BUT they email me every single day with a new offer and I wish they'd stop.

    There's a thread!
    Happy shopping!
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
  • My brother uses them, but... he does seem to get a tad over enthusiatic and our outhouse is jam packed with stuff now that he never eats. Slowly trying to get rid of it all now.

  • I've used them quite a bit and on occasions they have missed out items but a quick email sorts it out for a refund!

Although most of the food is "Out of Date" it's fine because most of the dates are for the shops. The only things we have had a problem with is crisps which tasted stale! :-(

BE CAREFUL as it's easy to spend too much as there as so many bargains to be had,

    Hope this helps
  • I used to order from them but the postage jumped up to over £10 because they decided to reclassify us as the highlands which we are not,I find Home Bargains and the £1 shops cheaper.
  • I have used them once before and whilst the quality of the items was good, I don't find them to be an awful lot cheaper (if any cheaper) than what I can get in Home Bargains or B & M and for those shops I don't need to pay postage! :D
  • I've used them & found them very good. I'm buying for 6+ people & there aren't many bargain shops around here, so it's worth the postage. Mostly I've bought still-in-date healthy lunchbox snacks for when we have students staying; these have been great bargains. The kids come from Germany & are deeply suspicious of over-flavoured British food, so I have to try to find things they'll like to fill up hollow teenage legs; our branches of LIDLS & Aldi tend to stock things they think we'll like on the snack front! It'd be very expensive to buy this kind of thing in bulk from the health-food shops. Otherwise they seem to like good plain home-cooking, which doesn't have to cost a fortune.

I've also bought some great things from AF that I'd like to be able to find again & would pay full price for - Misto Legumi, the little bottles of Worcester Sauce, the chocolate fondue with salted caramel - and had some damaged tins; as above, one phone call & my account has been credited. So all in all, in my experience well worthwhile & highly recommended!

  • I have used them once to bulk buy sterilised cream for DH which was like gold dust elsewhere. Packaging was fantastic and it was just like Christmas opening the box! Everything has been great but how can you complain at 5 boxes of M&S carrot cake for £1? Will use from time to time but only for items that I would usually buy.

  • I stock up from approved foods and use it for tinned, dried stuff and drinks. Still ploughing our way thru a 3kg catering pack of spaghetti bought in may! also had a case of 4packs of mini naan bread, the vacuum sealed ones, they're out of date but are still fine, they get warmed up anyway. yeah the crisps are sometimes a bit stale, biscuits sometimes a bit broken and tins a bit dented, but it's a cheap way of stocking up, and you can see the date on individual things before you buy them. watch out for buying more than you intended - like cases, or sometimes if it is like 6 for a pound, there are already six in the space where you click to buy - will never get through all the mint sauce I have!!

Have used them once but find most of their stuff is what I would call "junk food" - crisps, biscuits etc.

I do look to see what's on offer from time to time but there never seems to be enough I would use to warrant another order.

I thought the same joedenise, I would end up spending money on junk food that I wouldn't normally buy just because it was reduced, lol
