I have had my reply from my CS ticket and i'm really pleased with the outcome as they refunded to my AF account for the two damaged items, I will definitely be using them again. I get the feeling from them that you're dealing with a medium sort of size company and like the personal interaction that they have at the moment, hope they keep this going. Also i'm a pretty poor cook and bought their yorkshire pudding mix and tin. OMG not sure what I did but they took over my oven!! They tasted lush though

Hi really disappointed in Approved Foods service have done my order since Sunday and It's still processing hasn't even been picked yet!!! But the money has been take straight away does not seem to be good service to me and the despatch time seems to be getting later and later It now states that It might be delivered by next Monday 20th!!! Does not make me want to order again! Disappointing:mad: especially when the postage costs are so high you'd expect quicker service!!

Sorry about the delay, but without knowing your order number, I can't help you. Regarding payment, the money is always taken at the moment of purchase, as happens with other on line companies. The delivery charges are simply what we have to pay - we don't make any money on delivery. If you post your order number I will check on what's happening.

I'm due a delivery today & have had a text saying I can check my 1 hour delivery slot on the DPD website - I must be really thick as I can't work out how to do it!

All I can get to on the site is that delivery will be today. I tried ringing the number they give you to check the 1 hour slot - again this just tells me that it will be today between 7am - 8pm so not very helpful.

I've been through all the options on that phone number, but nothing gives you the chance to speak to a person. Even the usual trick of not pressing any buttons during the menu choices doesn't work - they just disconnect your call.

Any ideas how to find out this magical 1 hour slot? I know I've done it before, but sadly can't stay trapped in my house til 8pm (& I don't drive so can't collect from a depot & all my neighbours work).

Never found out the answer to my above post - my delivery turned up just after lunch (all present & correct so now just playing the kitchen store game ).

I assume DPD now don't offer the 1 hour delivery slot timing, which will put me off ordering again, unless it is in the school holidays & I'm not away. I agree with previous posters that there is no reason to expect a quick delivery - I'm not worried about the speed, but I just cannot usually devote an entire day from 7am - 8pm to staying in. I'd rather pay more & get a Saturday delivery as it is easier for me to stay in that day - but I don't think this is an option is it?

I received my first order last week and was really pleased with it and saved a lot of money.

I was sent an e-mail the morning my delivery was coming with a one hour time slot so I didn't have to wait in all day.

I never knew about this company till I found this thread a few weeks ago and just popped in to say thanks to both the company and to this site for letting me know about it. Fill quite a store cupboard for dirt cheap!! :T:T


I only quoted you with regards to the postage - I got what felt like it weighed a ton with my delivery and if it went by weight alone then it wouldve been far higher so I do think the postage is quite right, try doing that with Royal mail and it would be off the scale!!

Hi, sorry you didn't get a timeslot - DPD do still operate the 1 hr. time slot, it's just that very occasionally they have to abandon it due to logistical reasons and this is beyond our control, unfortunately.
