I ordered from AF once, the courier was a nightmare, he rang me to say he was by a pub nearby and said if I wanted my goods to go down there (almost a 10 minute walk), and meet him there. I went there, he went said he couldn't drive to where I lived as in a hurry, so I didn't stand my ground, took my order and got my husband to drive round almost 30 minutes later when he got home from work.

Needless to say I've not bothered to order since which was a real shame as the goods were well packed and in good condition.

TBH if a courier rang me and asked me to go to him, he would get a real earful and be told to do his job and that a complaint would be going to the company concerned and his boss.

Which courier was it? A lot have had issues with Yodel (think AP only used these for a short period?), but DPD are usually very good.

My latest AF order arrived this morning - all present and correct.

Have to say I was impressed by the updated DPD courier parcel tracking. The new version shows an ( almost ) real time map of where the van is , how many deliveries it has to make before it arrives and an estimated number of minutes. I did however find that it operates a few minutes behind , so box arrived when it was still showing as 2 deliveries away.

    Hi,
Hoping someone here will be able to help me as the Approved Foods chat form is down, their FAQs are a bit limited and I'd appreciate a quick reply.

Some of the items for sale on the site have a limit of say '2 units' per customer - is this per customer ever if you see what I mean, or a limit of 2 per order made by a customer. Also is a customer a person or a household?

I'm asking because they missed an item off my recent order and I'd like to reorder the item, but their system will obviously she that I have ordered 2 before...if I am able to order 2 more even better!

Hope that makes sense and someone knows the answer-thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry for typos, writing this on my phone.

Just wanted to praise approved food on their customer service. Ordered from them and then realised I hadn't updated my address! Not a huge deal as I had access to the old address but asit was a huge order (50kg) it would be painful to have to wait in there and then drag it back downstairs (old address is a first floor flat) and to the new address. So I phoned the courier (citylink) and was told they couldn't change the address unless approved food requested it. Phoned approved food and got through immediately and they promised to update address. Sure enough parcel was redirected to the new address no problem :) always a joy to order from. Have my whole family hooked :P x

Many thanks for the positive feedback, Mossop93. It has been passed on to the CS team who work very hard and will appreciate the praise you have given.

Tried to place an order yestreday. The website was a mess, only 4 or 5 items showing on some pages of the 'newly listed' items.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

I just had a very positive experience with AF. I've ordered from them quite a bit in the past, but got a bit fed up of missing & damaged items, so hadn't ordered for a while. This order arrived very well packed (lots of bubble wrap & dishwasher tablets away from crisps) and everything I ordered was there! I recommend the peri peri crisps, chilli llama bites, hollandaise sauce - & the bulk muffins & cupcakes (although a mix of flavours would have been nicer - we got chocolate cupcakes & blueberry muffins).

I believe they had some problems at the site yesterday , but has since been fixed
