  • I would shop regularly at Approved Food if their delivery prices weren't so high or if they could at least offer a half price delivery if you only have a very small amount of shopping etc.

Their prices are good but once you factor in the cost of delivery it's just not worth it in the end... :(
I couldn't agree more, there's always good deals i want, but most the time it's only two things and after you factor the shipping it it's alot more expensive than going out to get it. I order every week if the shipping wasn't so bad
So is it definite now that we no longer get prior notice of an hour slot or even a delivery day for our deliveries with this new courier?
Think they're changing back to the people who give you a time slot, a couple are still with the new couriers but they're swapping back to the old

Waiting for my first delivery from the "despatch bay" today. Not having an estimated delivery time ( to within an hour ) is a real pain in the neck - meaning I have to stay in all day. The delivery service offered by dpd was much better.
  • It is my first time shopping at approved foods and I am not impressed at all. I received an email saying that my package was dispatched on 24th October and estimated delivery was between 25th-26th Oct. It is now the 30th and I have heard nothing from them at all. I can't even track my package. I raised a ticket but I still have had no response. The customer service has really been appalling and I almost feel like contacting my credit card company to take back the money. I don't understand why it is so hard to get in contact with them or them to let me know where my package is.
  • Renabean i have been shopping with AF for many years and have had very few problems. As far as the ticket system goes, i used it once then gave up, if i ever have a problem i always post on their forum and get a reply usually the same day. I know they are having big problems at the moment with the basket not updating, which seems now to be sorted, so probably causing hugh problems. Re your money, i would not worry, AF will refund you if you wish to cancel, but it must be frustrating waiting, especially as you are new. If they despatched it, the problem lies with despatch bay, so they are the ones at fault (they are rubbish i think and AF have just started using them). Good luck - hope it gets sorted.

not sure if u COULD spend £45 but there are some more expensive items now

incidentally i always email them if there are any problems and get a fast and helpful reply

Thanks for you reply. It really helped especially as I have never used AF before :) I tried to sign up to use their forum but it keeps coming up with an error message! So I feel as if I am going round in circles. If I could just hear from someone there, it would put my mind at rest. I will keep trying to sign up to the forum, although I don't have much hope!

Interesting first experience of the "despatch bay" service today ( dpd with their hourly timeslots was so much better ) . Just received an email from them saying I was going to get a parcel from them at some time today , almost exactly an hour AFTER I had received and signed for the parcel.

Sorry you're having problems, Renabean. If you post your order number here, I'll ask the CS Dept. to look into it and get back to you.
