Good
Next stop, has anyone checked for unsecured laons etc in granddad's name - credit checks?
Mum and bro have instructed a solicitor, and I believe that she is undertaking to do this this week.
Further information has come to light-forms were sent for Grans German pension to be stopped once she had passed, Uncle Thief somehow circumvented paperwork to enable it to be continued to be paid. Details still fuzzy, as only came to light very recently.........
Oh yeah, and he has spent it.0 -

Could be as basic as he offered to put the letter with the forms in the post and it never happened.
I discovered that someone got two folk to set up a Ltd company as he was "too busy chasing contracts". Later signed the forms to become director himself, and was swanning about with business cards saying MD.
When the company folded as someone had been taking money out, the two original directors were wholly liable - despite having personally witnessed the signed documents, they had allowed him to post the form to Companies House. It never got there.
Undischarged bankrupt at the time so was not allowed to be a company director. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

This guy is no amateur is he?
Has it occured to folkk that he may have been doing something similiar before grandmother died, with her accounts?
And it he this good at defrauding German pensions schemes, what has he been doing with our own benefits system on his own behalf?
The other thing that struck me was that having spent all GD's money wooing a woman with whom he now lives, and having cleared granddad out, he is going to start stripping his new wife of her accounts? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

No he is a clever bunny. But comes accross as thick. Good combo
She only lost her marbles about 2 weeks before she apssed - she was the financial mastermind of the pair-confident that he could not get anything passed her :rotfl:
New wife = no money. She's a right one as well0 -
Emsy,
I am shocked:eek: I had a feeling there was more to come. And still think that they might be.
If he has been forging signatures then it is a straight forward fraud.
Your uncle thought he was clever but not that clever as he has now been caught.
All the best to your family at this stressful time.
And do please keep us updated.

Emsy,
I'm shocked too, which doesn't happen very often! The extent this uncle has gone to beggars belief, we can but hope he gets his just desserts soon.
Glad you/family have grabbed the bull by the horns and taken such positive action. I think the advice given here by many posters shows how valuable this forum is to those who seek and need advice.
I look forward to future updates too.0
