well I have got my eggs but we ate out today on our bus trip out so just sarnies or rolls for tea now. and would you believe it got some whoopsie mince haha, so a different recipe using that would be good, I think I am going to try lasagne with chunky veg (or maybe not chunky, kids will turn their nose up)

Am at work tomorrow so its whether I can be bothered to sort it out and chuck it in the slow cooker in the morning or not. :o

Tut tut Froggy, that's not the SW way :naughty:, you need to eat more superfree foods. Have some butter beans :rotfl:

Did u manage to put the slow cooker on for your lasagna base this morning?
An easy way to add the veg to your tomato base is as follows: oven on 220, in a roasting pan, chop your veg roughly (peppers, courgettes, carrots, garlic (or not) and any other you fancy (but no mushrooms)) coat in olive oil, roast for 20 minutes, then blitz in a food processor adding black pepper & dried aromatic herbs, then add chopped tomatoes, et voila, you ve got your tomato base...

Let me know how it goes...

    Morning all :D

Finally it's Friday... Am leaving work a bit earlier this afternoon (stayed a bit later last night) to hit the road and avoid traffic.. We are off down South to visit family & friends.. That will be very nice to catch up with them all...
I filled up the car last night and spent £71!!!!!!!:eek::eek: but I had a 5p off a litre for Mr T bringinig the total a bit down...

Tea last night was scrummy, then OH went to bed early as she on the first plane to London this morning..4.30am start..am glad it was not me, 6am is already bad enough 5 days a week...

Not much in terms of money saving... OH should send me some money over to OP on Monday once she has been paid, then we will have to wait till 6th March once the CC is paid to know what i can sweep from the joint account for another OP.. Then it will be the end of March, and my pay rise and potential bonus to OP..In between I have £40 Quidco I am waiting to be paid out, and I need to send the CD's/DVD's & Wii games to music Magpie via TCB to raise more funds to OP...

I made the quiche froggy and I have to say the kids loved it and gobbled it down :j My DS2 doesnt really like the shop bought ones and turns his nose up at them but he was the first to finish and asked for more  will definitely be making that again!
We had sausage, mushrooms, celery, onions and I put four eggs in as the flan dish was quite wide and 150g of cottage cheese.
Thanks for your recipe, was very simple to make too :) and very very filling too :D

I have looked at easy recipe books and there are a few I have tried but sometimes they still seem too much hassle.

I want something that encorporates more veg but that you can just throw it all in like a nice stew or easy soup?

I should start a recipe thread for dumbos, err I mean beginners lol

Think I need one of those also (would be nice if the did them for 1 person as well.) Good luck on your quest. :D
  • You all need to stop talking about food ;-). I think about it far too much as it is. Mmmm, ice-cream with yogurt?
