    Hello all!:j:j

Finally back after a couple of days down South..
I drove down Friday after work as OH was already in London for work.. It “only” took me 4 hours, but we sat down for a Chinese banquet when I got there..
We spent Saturday with my friends, just chilling & also watched the Frogs being battered by the English…no complaints the better team won, but it was truly a scrappy game with loads of mistakes…Had a really nice home cooked dinner on Saturday and full English breakfast on Sunday morning, and then went to Church to see my friends perform in the local choir… It was truly great!! I am amazed he can sing!!!

Then went for a pub lunch with another set of friends..We all miss them dearly, and its hard not being able to pop over for a chat and a cuppa..I can’t wait to be able to move back down South..I don’t know yet when that will be, but the sooner, the better.. Roughly I guess this time next year or even two years down the line…

Driving back up was another story :(.. I felt violently sick while driving, but we were unable to swap drivers as OH had had a couple of drinks at lunchtime…so it took us the best part of 5 hours to come back as every few miles I had to stop.. Got home and went straight to bed .. I did not go to work yesterday, as still felt rough, but I am now back in the office this morning…

In terms of MFW news, I have sent a £150 OP this morning :j:j, which was the left over from OH account.. I am hoping to sweep something out of the joint account once the CC is paid off at the beginning of next week… Still no news from a potential bonus, I won’t hold my breath, its not the first time my bosses put that carrot in front of my nose, just to keep me quiet … No news about payrise either, but I doubt we will hear anything until just before payday on the 24th March!:o

I have tried calling N-Ram (Northern Rock) all day yesterday, but they were too busy to answer :mad::mad:… so I will have to wait till Saturday to get updated figures…

    Have a great day!

I made the quiche froggy and I have to say the kids loved it and gobbled it down :j My DS2 doesnt really like the shop bought ones and turns his nose up at them but he was the first to finish and asked for more  will definitely be making that again!
We had sausage, mushrooms, celery, onions and I put four eggs in as the flan dish was quite wide and 150g of cottage cheese.
Thanks for your recipe, was very simple to make too :) and very very filling too :D

    Pammy!

I am so glad it worked out.. It is usually a hit with the kids too.. Its very easy to hide vegetables in it as well..
Now you have your confidence in your cooking abilities, onto bigger & better things!! What will be next?
Think I need one of those also (would be nice if the did them for 1 person as well.) Good luck on your quest. :D

Thanks for popping by Southantrim3! :D Happy to share recipes, let me know what you fancy and I'll do my best to accomodate...
You all need to stop talking about food ;-). I think about it far too much as it is. Mmmm, ice-cream with yogurt?

    Hi SSS :j

Sorry, can't stop talking about food!! :D

    Hi Froggy,

Glad you're feeling better. Sounds like your wee jaunt was worthwhile and a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it looks like it's down to us to stop the English again - typical that they'd remember how to play rugby again in a world cup year! With a bit of luck (and a strategic bit of food poisoning from the hotel staff), we'll give them a bit of a game but, after the latest attempt at wooden spoon avoidance, I'm not holding out too much hope.

    Cheers,

    Billy

    Hey TYO :j
Am a it better now, thanks.. Still feeling nauseous in the car for some odd reasons  I don't know if I have a balance problem, or anything else?? I need to get my eyes tested too, as have not been for at least 2 or 3 years now... Think I can get a free eye test from work so should save about £15 there..
The move down south will go ahead, we just don't know when.. We need to wait for the next IVF round (probably April) and we need to continue OP on our mortgage as we are still in negative equity :o

How are things with you TYO, stil tearing your mortgage apart??

I have just listed 20 books on GM this afternoon... Hopefully they will be quickly picked up by customers, so I can make a few pennies to OP on the mortgage..

Now what else can I sell in the house?? :p

    The kitchen sink ? :D

I've never sold on GM - I've bought from it once though and there wasn't enough postage on the parcel which annoyed me as the P.O charged me for it. Other than that it was good!

Have you done Gocompare on TCB? It's £1.76 c/b if you need a quote for anything. I've used it twice this week and it's tracked. I think you can use it 3 times in a 12 month period.
I can't be bothered updating this anymore

Hi I mainly sell books on Amazon but have about 300 listed on GM that are not worth selling on Amazon. I've sold nearly 60 books in about 4 years on GM so they're not exactly flying out but we've got enough space to store them and it doesn't cost anything to list. I wouldn't hope for quick sales though but it does depend on the kind of books I guess. They have just relaunched their website and say they have been encouraging more customers so that might help as they're not really that well known. You have to be careful about listing heavier books as postage can be high - even second class and can make it not worth selling even though its possible to ask for postage on some books. What I've found is many sellers don't and so if you do charge postage your books will be more expensive....

On another topic I made 'your' quiche for my tea - full fat cottage cheese I'm afraid - the low fat stuff is yeuch [IMHO :rotfl:]. Don't eat meat so cut thin slices of leeks, peppers, mushrooms and grated a bit of cheese on - was v yummy and went well with a couscous salad. Enough left for tomo with a baked potato. OH is a major meat eater so he had a completely different meal!
