I didn't put a code in, do you need one? It did said say about the code though on that link I sent you, so I'm not sure.

Can you let me know if you find anything more out than I've told you.

    Merci beaucoup :)

I managed to get free eye tes through work - I also saw some vouchers somewhere...that D an A and Boots were doing £5 eye testst but if you get it free thru work go for that I reckon! hope the nausea sorts itself out soon!
Not quite tearing the mortgage apart but managing to save so will be able to pay for bathroom outright next month (I hope!) when does yours get done? then need to get onto job of finding new tennants as the person who was interested is now umming and ahhhing over whether they want it! frustrating as could mean an extra month or two without rent- but c'est la vie I suppose! luckily dont think I am in negative equity - certainly not on the mortgage but no idea if place is worth what I bought it for- probably about the same... is it London you are thinking of moving down to?
re: selling books Ive used amazon and have made a few sales - prob need to weigh up what is "worth" selling postage wise as paperbacks etc tend to go for about 1p so for the effort didnt seem worth it!

hope you had a good dinner at the inlaws
hows the slimming world going btw? after my continually failed attempts at eating more healthily with still a stone to lose I am contemplating joining something like that but not sure how well Id stick to it- I tend to feel deprived at the thought of the word "diet" ... may look into whether there is a cheap way to join up on the boards somewhere!

Hi I mainly sell books on Amazon but have about 300 listed on GM that are not worth selling on Amazon. I've sold nearly 60 books in about 4 years on GM so they're not exactly flying out but we've got enough space to store them and it doesn't cost anything to list. I wouldn't hope for quick sales though but it does depend on the kind of books I guess. They have just relaunched their website and say they have been encouraging more customers so that might help as they're not really that well known. You have to be careful about listing heavier books as postage can be high - even second class and can make it not worth selling even though its possible to ask for postage on some books. What I've found is many sellers don't and so if you do charge postage your books will be more expensive....

    Hi Teapot! :j
Thanks for stopping by.. I have only got 20 odd books to go at the moment, and I am not in a big rush as they all fit in a box on a shelf under the stairs :p However, if I can make a few pennies out of those, then bonus!

On another topic I made 'your' quiche for my tea - full fat cottage cheese I'm afraid - the low fat stuff is yeuch [IMHO :rotfl:]. Don't eat meat so cut thin slices of leeks, peppers, mushrooms and grated a bit of cheese on - was v yummy and went well with a couscous salad. Enough left for tomo with a baked potato. OH is a major meat eater so he had a completely different meal!

Glad "my" recipe could help, its just nice and simple, no messing around.. Ask away if you want any cooking tips...

    Hey TYO! :D

My bathroom suite should be delivered on the 19th, we already have all the tiles..then just need to contact plumber to get him to start the work..
I definitely need to go for an eye test..I need to check with work if they provide vouchers or if I need to claim on expenses..
Concerning nausea, its slightly better, but I ma not 100% yet.. I have acupuncture tonight, so I'll be able to ask her a few questions about it..

Dinner at the in laws was yummy, we had a good time there, and played board games after tea..:p

I am not going to the SW classes anymore, however I still follow their rules.. I like SW as this is not a diet as no food are prohibited, but they just show you how to cook it in a sensible way..
If you don't want to spend the money on the classes (£4.95 per week) then I would try to get hold of the books, then follow the thread on MSE https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2953828
    Hope this helps
    Froggy :D

ps: hope your tenant situation gets resolved soon :o

    Morning all! :j

I have just made another OP of £200 this morning.. This was from the sweep on the joint account, and this is mainly due to the fact that we have no council tax this month..:p
Hopefully will get some money for my birthday next week, that I can OP as well, and part of my bonus/payrise at the end of the month too..:p

    Hope everybody is well...

The day is getting better :j just had letter from management at work that I will get a bonus this month, roughly around the £350 mark net :p:D.. I probably won't be able to OP it as I need to put money aside for my car insurance renewal.. I should have news from management about pay rise in the next couple of weeks... I will be using the pay rise difference to OP!!!
