Pah! Family and work before your MSE diary - what is the world coming to!?!?
Cheers for that. Any help much appreciated as I'm about at the end of my tether with it. Congratulations on getting rid of that pesky pound again. I'm hoping a weekend at the gym will see me back under the 24 mark - 24.08 now on the wii fit and properly disappointed with myself. We're going to have a shot of tennis and badminton. Unless I can get to a stage like the wee Chinese lads who do cartwheels and still get the ball back, I'm staying clear of table tennis. Thumped ping pong balls from an angry opponent and my pretty face don't go together!
Nothing worse than losing one of the good ones. It's strange in my place as I've never bee somehwere with the degree of stability that my current organisation has - I must have started to take it for granted. Happy to have a wee look at the CV if you think it would help. As much as I'm not one of those dastardly recruitment agencies, recruitment is certainly a big part of my game and I'd be glad to offer any advice I can.
Cheers,

Evening all! :j
Billy - Just sent you a couple of PM's regrding Chefs & CV.. Hopefully we can get it sorted before it gets out of hand...
Weighgtloss wise, it was a good weekend, we had a couple of long walks around parks not far from here... Both at fairly good speed, with Ipods on, then you can't feel the time go by...
House wise, I have finished my list of things to do for this weekend: it involved things like:
- a run to the tip to get rid of some junk that had been lying in the shed for ages
- Moving the xmas decorations back in the loft
-Food shopping & local butcher (yummy, yummy)
- Paying off the Tesco credit card
- a silicone joint in the conservatory that had been begging to be done since October
Cooking wise, a nice beef stew had been bubbling away for a couple of hours this afternoon..this will be for Monday & Tuesday night..
Tonight was Papillotes of Cod with veg & wild mushroom couscous..
Also a nice quiche for tomorrow lunch...:D
The money my dad gave us for xmas is on its way over, so we should get that this week..
The plumber will be coming over Tuesday night to have a look at the bathroom, before we go and choose the suite and fittings at B&Q next Saturday...We are hoping to get it all doen & fitted with the next few weeks...
Not much in terms of OP..I might use some of my Dad's money, depending what rate we will get for the transferred funds.. Nothing much in terms of value, but I want to make sure that we keep on making OP's, however small, just to keep things ticking over...
Cheers

Hi TYO
Concerning bathroom, I would say the most important is to find a good reliable tradesman.. Thats probably the part that took us the longest... We're off to B&Q on Saturday to choose the suite & fittings.. The plumber is coming over tonight to check the bathroom and advise us on the fittings required...
Concerning the food, you are more than welcome to pop over when you want for a bite!
Hope you feel better soon
Cheers

Morning Froggy,
Go for the 1800x800 12-jet jacuzzi bath - it's amazing! I can't wait until we get the bathroom done now. Unfortunately, in that we don't want to be in and about the place whilst it's being done, it does have to wait until April 11th to kick off. We're lucky that we know a good guy with his own business as I'd agree that's the trickiest part of the process.

I really doubt I'll have a jacuzzi in my bathroom... I can barely fit a 70cm wide bath  Good idea thoughThat will probably be on the list for our next house!
We found the plumber through my work (husband of a colleague) and I have seen some of his work too.. His prices are very reasonable, and he is a perfectionnist at heart (perfect for OH as she tends to be very picky (sp) )..
We'll hopefully get everything fitted in the next few weeks... Let's wait & see..
Cheers

Great stuff. Looking forward to the pictures. Our guy is charging £2,500 all in for the bathroom being fitted (including moving a wall as our bathroom only manages a 70cm bath atm). With the boiler and it's installation on top as well as the price of the suite, we should be right about our £7,500 budget which is a good start.

Our budget might stretch to £3K all in (suite + fitting) at max, but hopefully less.. We have not got much space for any fancy fittings & fixtures, so it will be a basic white suite, and then accesorise as we see fit..
Will take before & after pictures and post later on...
The boiler (Economy 7) might need replacing and moving upstairs when it comes to doing the kitchen later on this year...
A lottery win might helpFingers crossed
Cheers
