Morning all :j
Hope everybody is well and excited about xmas??
I have just sent my last OP of the year to NRAM... So thats another £100 off the mortgage... Unless we come to some money between now and new year, then that would be it for 2010!
I have joined the thread that Cake21 started for 2011 MFW and I pledged to pay off £10K in 2011 to get rid of the unsecured part of the mortgage...
I am in work today & tomorrow morning, then back Wednesday next week... Hoping to stay healthy as just about everybody is sick, coughing, whingeing (sp?!?!) in my office
Only 2 more sleeps, bring it on!!
Cheers

Morning Froggy,
Sorry I missed your earlier post! Accommodating my OCD is very much appreciated. I'd have been down the back of the sofa, raking in the penny bottle and, if it came to it, singing in the street for the remaining £27! If I'm being pedantic, you've blown it a wee bit as the evenness of the figure has been ruined. That said, congratulations on smashing through and exceeding the target. Few things better than when a five figure debt turns to a four figure debt. I've every faith that you'll take care of the remainder in 2011. If you weren't as far away as you are, I'm looking for a Head Chef at the moment in the Borders so I'll need to get a chat with you about the best place to get someone decent.
Congratulations on the weight loss as well. You're going great guns. I'll need to hop on the wi fit to see what I'm at but I'm pretty sure I must have lost weight this last wee while - even taking into account the chinese last night!
Tried witout any success this morning to find a yard of jaffa cakes for Moyra's stocking to no avail. I'll have a wee poke around Bathgate this lunchtime to see if any of the dodgy wee shops have them otherwise it's a few packs that will need to go in alongside the minging beef and bacon crisps, a few maccaroon bars and whatever else I can find in the secret present stash.
Cheers,

Afternoon all! :j
I hope you all had a good Christmas and that Santa spoiled you?
We had a good time, xmas dinner was excellent, and we had a good time playing on the Wii on xmas day... I have to say (now having seen the video), I am a rock God (not!!), especially playing the guitar and singing Ghostbusters, after a few too many drinks... Oh well, xmas is only once a year...
Santa was very kind to both of us, and we got truly spoilt! My dad has given us some money, and I think we will put it towards our new bathroom next month...
We spent boxing day in Llandudno (North Wales) with OH big sister, her hubby & their 4 kids... We had a nice pub lunch (watching boxing day footy), then an icy walk along the beach, then a couple of hours in the amusement arcade!! Very fun, especially with the kids...
I went to SW last week and put a 1lb on, and will go back tonight for weigh in, I am hoping to have at least stayed the same, or even lost that pound (that would be a miracle though)...
My In laws are arriving tomorrow to stay with us for NY's weekend... The meal will be "Raclette", if you have never tried it, Google it, its one of my favourite meal (though its a killer if you are on a diet).. I will have to be really good for the rest of the week, and double up on the exercise to make it up...
Cheers

Shame on you sir!
Happy new year to you too. It's an outrage that I have to search five pages of posts to find your diary. Hope everything is going well down your way. I've set out my life objectives for 2011 which are scarily more taxing and less likely than my 2010 paying the mortgage off kick - the money ones are easier to manage I'm finding (as I sit in trepidation trying to put my first attempt at a landscape drawing down on paper). I'll pop you a PM as I need a wee bit of advice on chefs.
Cheers,

Hi Billy :j
I fully accept the blame Mr Billy, and I apologise for dropping down to page 5
I have seen your PM, and have made a couple of phone calls on your behalf, so will get back to you this weekend... I need to talk to you about Matched betting in the meantime...
Sorry I have not been around as much, we have had family over for xmas & new year, and then straight back into month end and year end accounting, coupled with auditors on my back... so not much fun...
On the weightloss side, I was at weigh in last night and I lost 1lb and got Slimmer of the Week.. Everybody except two people have put weight on over the holidays..
On the table tennis side, we played on Wednesday against top of the league opposition but lost 7-3..I did not play that badly actually.. I could feel the improvements in my game, especially thanks to the weightloss...:p
Mortgage wise, I am waiting for confirmations of my last two OP's in December to update my figures in my signature...
I definitely need to find ways to increase my income, as we will struggle to OP this month for sure... Any ideas from fellow MFW'ers are more than welcome!!:T
I have just had a resignation letter from one of my best staff, and I am gutted that this person is going... It might also be a motivator for me to look at something else... I'd like to get something closer to home, on similar salary...Think its time to dust off my CV, and get calling the recruitment agencies...
Cheers
