    Thanks Froggy.

I know that cooking two poussin takes about 45mins but how long would 10 poussin take? Any help/thoughts would be great :)

We've all got our scarfs on in the office here today!

Are you cooking all 10 in one dish or two dishes on two shelves??

Your oven will loose temperature as most of the space will be taken.. Therefore I would say, higher temperature (around 20c), and about 10/15 minutes more needed.. I would swap shelves at least a couple of times during cooking, and sprinkle the juices on top of the poussins (when you swap the dishes) to keep the birds moist..
You will surely notice that one lot will cook faster than the other, but no worries, just wrap them in foil and keep them aside... You can check the cooking by seeing if the juices coming out of the poussin run clear (no blood) then you know its cooked through... I would not trust a cooking thermometre

If its your xmas dinner, i would be tempted to cook them earlier in the day, and wrap them up individually once cooked and put them aside, then no stress, while you do spuds and veg at the last minute.. Make sure you protect them once cooked, if not they will dry very rapidly...

I am more than happy to help out anytime you need me.. I am around at xmas time, so drop me a line if you have any questions, and I'll do my best to make your day as special as possible...

Actually am off to my SIL down the road, its their turn to cook this year, so I can put my feet up..
I have not been to France for xmas for years now...
I will have friends and family over xmas, so I am sure I will be stuck in the kitchen at some point..

Let me know if I can help plan your "cooking day", if so email your plan over to me, and I will help you out...

While you're being the cookery expert do you have any ideas for catering on Boxing Day? About 20 people and I don't do stress very well so would ideally get most stuff ready and frozen or in fridge with just a little prep and cooking in the morning! Cheers!

We're really not rushing the decluttering but ideally want house sorted for the wedding. My SIL is making me feel bad. They moved into a new house 2 weeks ago and they are very strapped for cash. Within a couple of days they'd done some painting and within a couple of weeks some papering. I'm still thinking about starting decorating 8 months after buying!

Yes sure can help... The motto is keep it simple - As my Mum would say: Froggy, your eyes are bigger than your belly!! People might whinge (sp) they are starving, they then rarely go past two mouthfuls.. Remember most of the would have stuffed themselves the day before..
Are you at home the day before? Is it for lunch or tea? Any kids?

Decorating wise, your SIL probably did on a shoe string, on credit and in a colour she won't even like... We have been in our house 4 years now, and are still decorating :p

    Morning all :j

I went to Slimming World last night (can't go tonight as I have table tennis :o) and I lost 1lb.. Not a lot but am happy with that considering the stressful week I have had..
A lot of the motorways are shut around here, but I am lucky enough I am using the back roads, so got to work on time...

AM off to London & Reading tomorrow lunchtime, to play Santa.. We are off delivering xmas presents to family & friends.. OH is already in London, so will be driving down on my own tomorrow (am only on a half day at work, to avoid traffic and drive during daylight...)

    Have a good day everybody
