Hi Lois
No point dwelling on the negative, I just have to keep going and move on to the next challenge...
Hope all is well with you?
Froggy:cool:
Basically yes, thanks, things are good. I love the sun, and it's been glorious weather here today.
The only fly in the ointment is that I want/need to deal with my desk but it's so covered in random stuff that I'm not managing to make myself start on it.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Hi all
I am still alive, lol :j
I have exchanged contracts on the house this afternoon.. I am mightily relieved.. However the Lillypad fund has taken a serious battering
I am just dealing with all the paperwork, stopping all utilities and direct debits..
However I am on holidays on Friday and off to Tenerife, whoop whoop!A great week in the sunshine, cocktails, massage and plenty of relaxation..
Hope everybody is well?

Last day away on holiday
I am getting a lift to the airport at 1.15am  then land in Luton and then straight up to Preston for a wedding... It's 10.30 here in Tenerife and its 29 degrees!! I only have shorts, tshirts and flip flops in my suitcase.. Somehow I think I am going to freeze when I get home..
I have taken Monday and Tuesday off work to "recover" from the holidayaka at least two baskets full of ironing.. Tilly, are you interested??
Then it's back to work and what looks like a very stressful week ahead..not much point dwelling about it, it will have to be dealt with..
Money wise, it's not been too bad on holidays, I came just about with in budget..
We sold and completed on the house just before I left and I managed to stop all the utilities and other bills, so hopefully when I get home there will be lots of acknowledgements and refund cheques.. Then I'll have to split what's left in the joint account and close that account down.. Then only more bit, the divorce itself..but that will be next year..
In the meantime I need to save as much money as possible to be in a relatively good position to buy at some point in the near future..as I still want to complete my own MFW mission.. I do feel a bit of a fraud having a MFW diary but no mortgage to speak off..:o
Work is still going well and there are talks of me studying for my professional qualification which would open many doors and increase salary many folds.. However I am not very academic and 3.5 years of study is a daunting prospect.. What are your thoughts??!??
I do apologise for the lack of posts recently, I will try to do better in the future..

I am glad that the house sale has been completed without any mishaps.
Regarding improving your prospects academically, I'm all for you to go for it. Can you do it part-time? If so, please do that. I'm speaking from experience here (more on that, probably next year). Good luck!

Back home from holidays.. It's like Antartica here!! I must have looked good when I turned up at Luton airport in my shorts, tshirt & flip flops..
Made it to the wedding in Preston, it was lovely, the bride looked stunning
Now back home.. Plenty of post and refunds from council, solicitor & water company..which will help towards the fund..
I should be able to close the joint account in the week/10 days..
Quick conversation with the landlord and it looks like I might be able to move room soon which could see a saving of £200 a month on my rent.. Well timed I would say..
Hope everybody is well?
