I am still waiting to hear from Eon regarding final figures and refund..

    Hi Froggy

Sorry to intrude. Just thought I'd ask about this.

Have you given us closing meter readings and are waiting for the final bill?

If so, this will be issued approx 2 days after the account closes.

If the final bill is to actual meter readings, any credit balance is automatically refunded. Where a Direct Debit has been set up, the refund will go straight back to the bank provided you leave the Direct Debit open.

Should the Direct Debit be closed or if payment was made by another way, the refund will be sent by cheque through the post so long as we've a forwarding address. If not, just let us know and we'll make sure we send you your money.

Hope this is of some help Froggy. Give me a shout if I can help further as will be happy to do so.

    Hi Malc

Thanks for popping by.. Nice to see Eon rep helping out :D
I provided final meter reading on the 14th September, the day we moved out and went through the online tool on your website and therefore provided my new address.. I also cancelled my direct debit on the same day.. Since then, there is a message on my account that says 'we are preparing your final bill'.. I know I am due a refund and would like to know when I can expect it..

Thanks a lot, any help would be appreciated

    Hi Froggy

Final bill should be online now.

As Direct Debit closed, refund will be sent by cheque to new address. This is usually about 14 days after final bill, so any time now. :)

If you drop an email with your details to the address in my Profile, I'll be happy to check for you.

Hope return to work not too painful. ;)

Thanks Malc, I have just emailed you the details.. If you could please check, I would be most grateful..

Return to work is quite painful.. It "only" took me 3 hours to login into the systems this morning.. Very frustrating day so far.. but hey ho, thats the price you pay when you go on holidays..

    Thanks

Hi Froggy. Its been a long time since I have read any posts. Sorry to hear you have been having such a togh time over last few months. I have done the big D myself, the practicalities are easier to get over than the emotions behind it. Try and sort out something amicably if possible.
I wish you good fortune and prosperous times ahead.
When things have been tough for me I followed some words of advice from an older colleague, when I asked 'What do I do? he said 'keep breathing, the rest will sort itself out'
took a while but he was right.
