I wondered why you are called Froggy!
Where on earth have you stored all that wine? One thing in life I want is a cellar...not like there would be anything in it mind ! I can't save wine.
Good luck with the diet as you say it isnt a diet its a way of life (unfortunately). I cant comment on SW as only done WW but lots of people like SW. Is Thursday your weigh in day then from now on ?
I heard that there was snow over Buxton way, none my side of M/c though - thank god!I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
We have the same type mortgage as you have. We started overpaying weekly because dh is paid weekly. I rang NR and they agreed to me setting up a standing order for it. A standing order gives me control because I can raise or lower the payments according to how things are IE: emergencies.
It is amazing how quickly the interest went down as well as the mortgage. We are on a low income but this has been a fairly painless way to overpay as I never "see" the money. It goes out on payday before I get to the bank. I also started paying the council tax that way too.
We have learned to live on a very small amount of money and by doing this since 2007 when I got inklings the economy was going to crash (been there more than once before so saw the signs) we are in a better place than we ever hoped. We are even managing to put away savings.
It is not easy and you have to be on your toes all the time for the unexpected but it is so worth it.
I wish you well in finding ways to save money to overpay.0 -

Morning Iris :j
Weigh in day is every Thursday at 7.30pm...
Most of the wine is stored under the stairs.. Please feel free to pop over to "help" out! OH & I do not drink that much these days, we tend to offer the wine or use it when we entertain..Quite a lot of the wine my mum brought over need to age befor it is consumed anyway..
We opened some 2001 Bordeaux when she was over, and this tasted like silk, a pure delight
Hope all is ok with the Blue gang!
Cheers

Ohh thank you
but I'm more of a white wine kind of girl myself.
I'll look forward to seeing you update on Thursday. I'm spurring you on from the sidelines although I really should join in!
Blue gang is great thanks - just plodding on and getting on with it as normal.:)I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -

There are a fair few bottles of white (Muscadet, Petit Chablis & Sauvignon) if you are interested
Will try to update this thread on Thursday when I get back from SW (if its a loss of course, if its a gain I will be in the cellar)

Morning all!
Many congratulations to my Mum after she succesfully passed her Bacalaureat (equivalent A level)!!
She never had the opportunity when she was younger to study for it, as she had to work to support her brothers and parents.. She worked really hard on it, and I am so proud of her...
What a great achievement at the age of 55 :j

Well done Mrs Froggy!!I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Morning Froggy,
Many congratulations to your mum. That's brilliant.
Best of luck with the weight in! I've been scared to venture back to the wii fit over the last couple of weeks as I know I've put on a good bit of weight in the last couple of months. All these celebratory dinners take their toll!! I'm hopeful that I'm still in the 23 range on the BMI thingy but I seriously doubt it at the moment.
Cheers,
