Aw froggy sorry things are breaking! I know the feeling of everything feeling like its coming at once!!
job stress makes lifes little hiccups( like everything in your house breaking!) that much more difficult so I hope you find something thats good for you through the agency , sometimes just having a look out as well can take some of the stress out of it as you know its not forever!
cant help with the plumbing Im afraid, but having been through several disasters house wise and otherwise this yr I will send some sympathy and good vibes (and a virtual cuppa!) your way0 -
Poor Froggy!
I know how you feel though - it never rains but it pours! You seem to have a very similar life to me ATM - my boiler broke too, but it was the hot water we lost not heating and also have a leak behind the toilet everytime we flush! My insurance will cover it, but they will only pay for patch repair so that if the workmen break a tile and it needs replacing they will only replace that one with the closest match they can find (some policies apparently will re-tile your bathroom to ensure it all matches if they can't get hold of an original tile).
I am off to Lowry Outlet Mall this afternoon to do a bit of retail therapy and forget about my tumble-down flat! You could always try the Trafford Centre to cheer you up - i know how much you love it!:rotfl:
Hey Baby06
I have done enough shopping for the rest of the year while my mum is here, no more Trafford Centre
Am waiting for insurance company to call me back regarding the bathroom...

TYO :j
Your good vibes have worked wonders.. OH played with the boiler wires and the heating in the radiators is back to normal.. Please don't ask me how, I don't care, it works and I am warm...
Thanks again

Evening all :j
As the title says, I am after MFW's inspiartion and ideas.. My weight seems to be an issue "growing" lately...I am 6ft5 and 105KG (16st 7.5lb) and I am feeling fat.. My BMI is 27.5
I have started the table tennis season, but its only once a week..
Main issue is I love food, drink far too much coffee, snack in between meals (yummy biscuits), and usually have fatty lunches, or just sandwiches.. I don't drink alcohol (yeah, weird I know for a French person), but I like fizzy drinks (full fat coke)...
I have tried diets in the past, but this did not last long..
I just wanted to know if any of you had success with diets, and where.. My SIL had great success with a 38 pounds loss with slimming world after years of trying to shed the pounds..
Anybody succeeded with SW??
I need to take a lunchbox to work every day, so will need to take that into consideration too..
Any advice very gratefully received
Thanks

Froggy G (em, didn't realise where your user name came from
), I have lost two and a half stone from SW. It's really easy IF you're motivated to lose weight. If you're not then it won't work. You can have as much pasta, rice, cous cous etc as you want, and have salads, veg & lean meat with it, so no need to go hungry. Everything cooked with Frylight & it's yummy :T. It needs a bit of planning, that's all.
You should join your local group as the support is great - and there are men there! (And my local group would love it if a 6'5 Frenchman attended :rotfl:)
You could swap your full fat coke for diet obviously, if you don't like the diet one maybe try something like Fanta Zero?A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Thanks Gallygirl..
I have found a group just around the corner from me, a mile walk away from home.. Do I just need to turn up on the night then?
I am motivated as I am feeling down about my weight, clothes don't fit, feel "heavy", tired and lack energy..

Froggy
You need to turn up at the very start as the consultant will go through the options with you. Then you sit through the excrutiating bit where they go through everyone's loss (or not) that week, decide no way will you be going through that every week, then you get weighed (in private) and off you go. The next week you'll be convinced you've lost nothing, find you've lost a good few pounds, enjoy being applauded and wonder if you can get your 1/2 stone certificate the next week :rotfl:.
I know what you mean about how you're feeling, but if it's any consolation your BMI is lower than mine.
Good luck.
PS you can do a weekly countdown, I know you like those :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Morning all :j
Really determined to make a go of it, and shift the pounds before xmas... I am hoping the fitness will go along with it, so I can perform better at table tennis and be a bit more active in general...
Any good & sensible advice more than welcome..:p
The next SW meeting is this Thursday, and I intend to attend (only if its just to make sure this is the right way for me)...
OP wise, OH will get paid her back pay and bonus this month, so will be looking at the budget figures and get the OP's back on track then...
Have a great day all!
