Cua nque' msaa Froggy,
How are VO these days? I remember doing the surveys a few years back and getting about £150 of Amazon vouchers in a relatively short space of time (albeit I did have to pretend to be a G.P. for one bumper survey!) I'd probably not bother these days (if only to not do someone else out of the survey opportunity and resultant cash) but it's an interesting business model they must have and one I might consider having a wee look at down the line as market research and, particularly, customer satisfaction surveys, is a field I quite fancy tapping.
DIY legend! If you ever fancy a wee weekend job, there's plenty of stuff at the squalor that needs doing!
Wedding anniversary plans sound grand. Moyra insists on us having an anniversary regardless of the fact that we have no interest in marriage (I'll need to do something proper for it next year as it'll be 15 years come next May). I'll tap you nearer the time to see if some of your inate romanticism can be lent out for a few days...
Might see you at the pool. My new yankee trainers have managed to hurt (I'm sure there's a broken bone involved) my foot so it'll be the swimming for me for a wee while as the cardio efforts at the gym are a non-starter.
Have a grand olde day.
Cheers,

Hylo Billy!
VO is not bad at all, I get to payout quite quickly, and could even get there faster, but I probably look at it only once a week or so..
DIY legend, I don't think so..But more than happy to cross the border if you need a hand with anything..
Give us a shout when you start preparing for your "anniversary" and I will advise accordingly.. Same goes for your French adventure
Will see you at the pool tonight!
Cheers

Froggy, I dunno why some years are 'like that', but I've had four in my lifetime - 1977, 1991/2 and 1997. All involved the loss of family members, there is no greater blow.
All things do pass, good and bad. This is a good year, but I have to accept that not everything in it will be good. Though so far we seem to be largely skirting major downers.
Anyway, the 'phrase 'Gang-rape Pacman' for the dodgy group hug icon made me laugh out loud... Your thread brings smiles as well as frowns. xxErma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Hey ATT
Nice to have you back around here.. My mum is back home and resting.. I am due to call her tonight to see how she is doing.. Could not quite call at the weekend as my dad was around all the time..
ATT, please tell me more about corporate lets, that sounds really interesting.. Any link you could send me please? That solution would be ideal for us..
Thanks
Froggy :j
Hi Froggy, sorry for delay, I've been on holiday, lol, saying sorry for delay is getting to be a habit for me this last month.
I've asked my letting agent if they do properties in your area or whether a website existed which listed such agents in one place. Apparently such a website doesn't exist and they don't cover your area; they have asked a contact who does a corporate let in Manchester who they use but the contact hasn't replied yet but if they do I'll let you know. I've just done a quick google search for 'corporate lettings Manchester' and a few came up so I would say it's worth giving them call and getting them to come out and see you; that's what I did, I had two companies come out to see me so that I could hear their package costs and gain my impressions of them first hand as it were. They were both very good but in the end I went with the one that had been recommended to me by a friend and who did just seem to have the extra edge over the other company
Regards

Hi again Froggy, just caught up on the remainder of your thread and I'm so sorry to hear the news about your uncle. Hopefully in time the good memories will help.

Quick phone call to N-Ram to get updated figures, and it shows that our normal monthly payments takes £170 off the capital at the moment.. We are now very close to owning 10% of the house.. Think we should get there this month or so..
