That's good news Froggy. I had a similar piece of good news from a garage. My car needed something small fixed. My friendly local garage ordered the part in for me, and then I took the car in to be sorted out. It took the bloke about 15min to fit the thing while I waited, and then he charged me £35, which I paid. When I got home, I actually read the receipted invoice, and he'd just charged me for the part (+VAT) and nothing for labour at all. It really pays to get to know a garage you can really trust.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Good news about the garage bill!
Sorry to hear about the health stuff- I know my BP has been high at times when I have been under a lot of stress and also can be higher just by the fact you are at the Drs. Have they given you advice on diet etc to try and get it down naturally first? I seem to remember eggs could be a cause of high cholesterol ...but dont quote me!
hope you and princess getting to look forward to a relaxing weekend x0 -

Quoting TYO I am positive that people with high cholesterol are meant to avoid eating too many eggs. All the cholesterol is in the yolk so you are safe with egg whites. I would try and increase your good cholesterol tooJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Glad to hear the garage bill wasn't too bad.
Couple of links to British Heart Foundation leaflets on blood pressure and cholesterol
Good helpful information but wouldn't get too worried about your BP as lots of people have said very likely to settle.Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

Are you still going for acupuncture Frogster - that's great for destressing and lowering blood pressureA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Your body can make cholesterol anyway, so some people do just have high levels of it. I would just have a few weeks of really trying hard to relax and cut out some of your risk factors and I am sure you will be fine. I know mine went up through drinking too much caffeine in those cappucinno sachets. I was pretty addicted to them at one point on top of tea and coffee. I dropped all but the tea for a few weeks and looked like I was willing, and it went down.0

Hey Michelle
Yes think I will have to slow down on caffeine intake too for a little while.. I am trying to relax as much as possible to bring this down quickly... My brother (nurse) thought it's unlikely to remain high..It's probably a one off and has given the exact same advice you did
