Germany for me, perhaps trips over the border into Austria if we fancy a day out.
Mags, no worrying for me. I have done more than my fair share of worrying this year. Next year is going to see a whole different me. I dont want to say new because I want the old me back and intend to find her in the Alps somewhere. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Glad you got through your short(ish) days at work and you are almost ready to go.
Hugs to OH, I really hope you can forget the uncertainty while you are away and not let it spoil your time away.
Drive safely, have a wonderful time, looking forward to seeing the pictures:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

Grrrrrr. Just putting all my camera equipment together for the holidays. I have a manual SLR with extra lenses. Have read up on my DSLR and realised that I could use the lenses for it. Went to get them out and the adaptor is missing. So disappointed because I was planning to really have a go with the cameras whilst away. Never mind I will do what I can with just the camera.
Also just found that the course for Black and White Photography and Developing is starting again 19th January. It is for manual cameras but learning composititon etc so I will try to sign up for it when I come home. Will be a way of getting a social life too. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Have a fridge fill of 35mm b&W film I can post you if you like. Its out of date but was a pig to get hold of. OH did the course a while back and really enjoyed it. Managed to get a set of B&W filters on flea-bay for next to nothing which made a big difference to picture quality too.
Have you got time to find a replacement adapter ring before you depart?
Hope you all have a fab time! Did you learn to ski in the end?
Moos and chickens get along famously. Bring him to meet ours next time you're here. We can introduce him to Attilla the Hen, a girl with attitude who pecks back. My friends rottweiler is terified of her.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Hey Moo2, thanks for that, I love when you pop over to say hello! We will have to get together to take the poople scoopers out sometime. He is staying up near wrexham at the moment with two danes. Photos can be seen on my fb pages. He has been a big hit on twitter this week after they all met him. Didnt end up getting to ski - car accident put paid to the lesson that was booked for my birthday. I will try a lesson there though even if that is all that I manage.
Pippajo - lovely to have a freshly decorated home for Christmas. 2 days of internet is well worth it.
KC - thanks. I just reread what I put and I can say it truly came from the heart that. Might have to print it out as a ticker tape to take with me.
Stage 1 completed. Arrived at OHs parents (think LT and you will know how I am feeling) Hiding in the bedroom at the moment.
Weather was heavy going up to North Wales then it suddenly cleared for the run up to OHs parents. Here an hour and now it is like a blizzard out there. Hoping I will make stage 2 tomorrow which is the long drive down to Kent before the short hop to the ferry terminal on Sunday. Wish me luck. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons.
