When I'm writing something long on here I "copy" it as I go along, then if you do loose it you can "paste" and it's still there.

Me too - I guess I'm so used to posting *long* stuff, it makes it worthwhile to take the extra little effort. Hope you're coping organisationally, cheri.

Mmmmm I do normally write my long ones in my word docs (especially when they are to do lists) that will teach me. Anyway I am a very happy bunny (well in one sense).
Tracked down some winter tyres and arranged to have them fitted on Wednesday or Thursday. Cost £329 :eek:(better than I was expecting but still a lot more than I wanted to spend and will have to go on my CC :()
Mr C is driving me crackers. Whilst he leaves me to do the organising he always tells me what I should ask (like I need telling NOT) checks that I have asked it (like I need to be checked NOT)and then proceeds to worry over the answers that I am giving him. Aarrrggggh. It is just his nature and I have come to learn that it is not personal he does it over everything with everyone. Drives me nuts
So that is one thing ticked off my list of 30.

Time for a cuppa me thinks

Oh dear cheri! :( to expensive tyres  And that credit card will be gone soon. Will you be able to sell your tyres on after you've used them? Or will you keep them for when you go again?

And pah to poor old Mr C. Perhaps he needs to organise things himself, then you need not be involved at all! :D Well done on ticking off something from your list! :j :j :j "d managed 3 things by 11am - and nothing since :rotfl:

(I usually copy long posts too - but just select, and press control and c to copy, don't paste them anywhere, unless it all breaks, then I just paste them into the box again :D)

Oh my things never are as they seem. The garage just rang me back to say that when they tried to arrange delivery for the tyres they were told that they were now gone. Made a cuppa to calm down and sat here thinking what to do next when the phone rang. It was my local garage to say that they have tracked down some tyres................. £230 fitted. (I had told them that I didnt want to pay more than £60 per tyre!) It would seem that another garage somewhere up north had reserved them this morning so when he asked this morning they didnt have them but the other garage hadnt rang back by the deadline to confirm the order.

Now......... I was buying them from a garage up north (near to where Mr C works so that he didnt have to travel down here on Friday to get them fitted and then have to travel back up North to take Moo...(well its complicated).
I am a happy bunny. It also means that I dont have to use my CC

Sorry Daffs, meant to say that the local garage will store the summer tyres and swap them back over then store the winter tyres free of charge for me too! They are there then for next winter. It seems that the whole country is sold out as people start to put winter tyres on their cars to prevent accidents in the snow and ice.

Excellent news cheri! :T :T Gosh, it's a rollercoaster of emotions sometimes sorting this stuff out isn't it?? :rotfl: you think you've got it sorted, then it all goes wrong, then something cheery happens, or has it, then it all sorts itself out for cheaper than in the first place :rotfl:

I hope that's the end of it for you! :j

Well I think it is the end of the tyres. We have Moo sorted. Lets see what else hits me. I hope this holiday is a good one after all this!!! At least it is giving me an insight into life on the other side.

I have left messages galore for my boss to ring me. Emailed her as well and heard nothing. So my next mission is trying to sort out returning to work on Wednesday and hopefully working two short days to ease myself in. If today is anything to go by I will be exhausted trying to do a full day. I am shattered. Off for another cuppa.
